In the latest edition of Nintendo Power, Nintendo big man Shigeru Miyamoto himself answered the question on whether or not Zelda will to stick to the formula or veer off into an entirely new path. Just how different will Zelda Wii be from the earlier iterations of the franchise?

This week sure has been a quite one for Ninty. Early prepping for TGS maybe? At any rate, there are still a few tidbits to be read in this week's recap, the biggest being Shia LeBeouf's anti-Wii comments that may have lost him a few fans and earned him a lot of flames. When I hear the words "demo play", the first thing I think about are those old demos that used to kick in when you left a game in the "Press Start" screen for too long. Nintendo is taking the demo play idea to a whole new level, however. In an interview with USA Today, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that they're adding an optional feature -- called "demo play" -- that will make the Wii even more accessible by making games play themselves.

The Dolphin_Team has released a new update for Dolphin SVN, a Gamecube and Nintendo Wii emulator for Windows. The latest  SVN build  has some various fixes and improvements. Hit the link for the list of changes.

It wasn't part of Nintendo's E3 presentation, but Shigeru Miyamoto did announce a new Zelda game for the Wii during the event. A lot has been said about this new Zelda game, but most of them have been speculation based on the concept art Miyamoto showed at E3. Well, we can now get in on all the speculating since the image has been released. Check it out after the jump.

I was wondering where Shigeru Miyamoto was during Nintendo's E3 presentation yesterday. Turns out he was just hiding, biding his time until he could reveal one of the two things I was looking for from Nintendo: a new Zelda for Wii.

Nintendo said last year that the Mario and Zelda development teams were working on new Wii games, so it's already a given that we'll be seeing new games in those franchises soon. According to Japan's Nikkei newspaper, that "soon" means "later this year". For Mario, at least.

Turning their attention to the coming games expo, market researchers and analysts in Macquarie Research expect that Nintendo may be announcing a new Zelda or a Mario Wii game for E3. Citing the need for the publisher to come up with more "gamer-centric" announcements at the event, the market analysts eye two of Nintendo's finest franchises as keys to a successful E3.

It's no secret that Nintendo's success comes from the immense backing of the casual gaming market, but in her rather lively and upbeat  interview with Bitmob, Nintendo corporate affairs VP Denise Kaigler, talked about the relationship that the Nintendo has with the hardcore gamers.

Nintendo's most recent financial report has revealed part of the company's release lineup for the next few months. Frontrunners include the Wii MotionPlus-powered Wii Sports Resort and, of course, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Note that these titles are first-party only. Also, this list is far from definitive, so watch out for more Nintendo announcements during E3.
