The Force is not strong at E3 this year, as LucasArts has decided not to announce any new games during the event because of "too much noise" surrounding it. Hopefully this doesn't mean that we won't hear any news on the upcoming Star Wars games. More in the full article.*UPDATE* LucasArts has clarified that they will still be attending E3, after some initial confusion at their announcement. |

Some industry insiders have long suspected that LucasArts may be in the process of restructuring itself. It's all official now as layoffs have been confirmed after the release of Lego Indiana Jones (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Wii, DS). Details after the jump. |

May the Force be with Wii. And DS. That's what a posted advertisement tells us after plastering Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in their CGI movie form together with logos of the Wii and DS. Star Wars: The Clone Wars is based on the same cartoon series Star Wars fans had watch before seeking out Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in theaters or DVD. Closure reasons, surely. If you've missed the cartoon, you might want to reconsider missing the game adaptation of the cartoon's CGI movie remake. More at the full story. |

It's a bit late, but given the timeliness of Jeff Brown's opinions of late, we thought this might clear up some air on the ESA issue. It appears that a copy of an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) document accounting for the financial transactions at the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has made it to the hands of the media, and what has been discovered might be the real reason why major members are bailing from the premiere software organization. Check the full article for more details. |

It seems like the rumor about LucasArts leaving the ESA was actually true. Recent statements released by both the ESA and LucasArts confirmed that
the company did indeed take its leave from the video games
organization, but mentioned that it will still support the ESA's
mission in the industry. To find out more about this, check out our full article after the jump. |

A new video for the Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (also available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, DS) has just been released and it shows off the controls of the game. If you think the idea of being able to control a character's lightsaber using the Wiimote is cool, you'll probably go nuts once you actually see it in action. Check out the video in the full article. |

In case you didn't know, LucasArts has revealed that Darth Vader is a playable character in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Wondering who else from the Star Wars universe are playable in the game? You can check out the full article for a new batch of screenshots, one of which shows the game's roster list. There seems to be someone missing from the roster too. Guess who. |

It's great to see that an indie developer has made it to the same level as other big shot studios. According to Develop's list of most successful game studios, Rebellion Developments - the studio that developed The Simpsons Game (the PSP and Wii versions) and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron - is Europe's leading independent developer. Details in the full article. |
