This is intriguing math. Gfk-ChartTrack of UK has released the data for console sales in the region up to June 27, 2009 and it shows that there is a stellar 24 million installed base in the UK to date, with 8.4 million contributing to that number in the past 12 months.

Is Paul W.S. Anderson gearing up to make a new Resident Evil film? The answer would be yes, according to film website ShockTillYouDrop. A studio insider supposedly told them that Sony is in fact scheduling a release for September 17, 2010. This would be followed later on by a confirmation of the release date via an internal memo circulating the office.

Analyst Michael Pachter expects that by 2015, 7th-gen console sales will end up like this: Wii on top, the PS3 in second, and the Xbox 360 in third place. The Wii's first-place position seems like a foregone conclusion, but what about the other two? More after the jump.

Through this service, subscribers received access to an online community, development software, as well as a very rare black PlayStation One console that allowed devs to run their own code on the system.

Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves took top honors in the annual Best of E3 Game Critics Awards with the "Best of Show" prize tucked firmly in Nathan Drake's belt. Well he is about to become 30. In video gaming years, that's probably even past mid-life crisis already. Maybe that would explain why the Fummel & Kram brand is coming out with a very, very expensive accessory for Pac-Man, a scarf costing more than Sony's new PSP Go.

The next generation of videogame consoles may still be a long way off, but according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, they're already getting ready to develop games for them.
