Mario will soon drive your own kart for you - Image 1When I hear the words "demo play", the first thing I think about are those old demos that used to kick in when you left a game in the "Press Start" screen for too long. Nintendo is taking the demo play idea to a whole new level, however. In an interview with USA Today, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that they're adding an optional feature -- called "demo play" -- that will make the Wii even more accessible by making games play themselves.

Link - Image 1I was wondering where Shigeru Miyamoto was during Nintendo's E3 presentation yesterday. Turns out he was just hiding, biding his time until he could reveal one of the two things I was looking for from Nintendo: a new Zelda for Wii.

Pikmin - Image 1Pikmin game coming soon? Let's do the time warp for a bit and recall Shigeru Miyamoto's words back at E3 2008. "We're making Pikmin" is all that he said pertaining to the much-requested sequel to the GameCube original franchise. Now here comes Edge Magazine with a full-page ad for their 203rd issue. The ad itself is just a shot of a patch of grass, but some eagle-eyed observers have noted that in the top-right hand corner, there's a little purple blob that resembles a Pikmin.

Analyst Predicts New Zelda Wii Title in 2009 - Image 1Analysts have a tendency to be wrong on occasion, but sometimes they're dead right. I hope this one's the right kind. Analyst Colin Sebastian expects Nintendo to release a new Zelda game by next year. You'd better be right Sebastian, or else your New Year's resolution should be not to get people's hopes up.

Shigeru Miyamoto - Image 1Nintendo's been pretty quiet lately. Oh sure, they announced Pikmin, the DSi, and GameCube ports, but nothing really... new. Just more of the old stuff with a new layer of shine. Have Miyamoto and Iwata decided to take a break and swim in their money pool?

Naw, it's just the calm before the storm. According to Miyamoto, a lot of games for loyal Nintendo fans are in development. Click.
