The location of the sensor bar is just beneath the LCD - Image 1

No kidding. This little product from Japanese company Century attaches itself to a Wii easily, and allows Wii gamers to play via gadget with a 7-inch diagonally-wide LCD screen and a mini sensor bar. Talk about seriously trippy Wii mobile gaming. If Ben Hecks' Wii-fied laptop was any serious effort, this little gadget will only burn you 120 Washingtons or JP¥ 14,800 (that's US$ 120).

According to Watch Impress Japan, the little gadget is for private gameplay, probably suggesting that people should buy this product if they don't want anyone to see what they're playing. How it works is easy: slap in the Wii right at the Wii holding platform at the leg of the unit, plug in the unit and voila! The unit also comes with a power converter box that plugs a single power cord to an outlet, and allows both the Wii and the unit to be powered through the single connection.

And get this: the product can even attach to your car's lighter port, allowing it to be used inside vehicles for gaming. The unit is geared for a release on June 25 in Japan, although no word has been made on whether the English contingents of Century will also distribute a version of the unit in the Western hemisphere.

For those who really don't mind the Wii's power supply and want to take advantage of the little white console's size, than these two monitors might be for you. It seems that PEGA HK is the first third party manufacturer to release a portable monitor for Nintendo's Wii.

There's a 7-inch and an 8.5-inch monitor available and either has a black bar near the top of the screen. We point out that black bar because Wii, er, we hope that it's the sensor bar, because otherwise having a separate bar might be a bit awkward.

The product page for the item isn't clear about pricing or availability, but it does have a link for inquiries regarding the product. Images of both monitors are below, and the product page for the 7-inch screen can be accessed using our "read" link below.

Before we go, we do have to note that the page also has other interesting items like Wii boxing gloves and Wii silicon sleeves. If you're looking to "pimp" your Wii, the page may be helpful.

Dargon Electronics products facts sheets - Image 1 Dargon Electronics products facts sheets - Image 2 Dargon Electronics products facts sheets - Image 3

Accessory manufacturer Dragon Electronics has just announced a new set of gear built for the Nintendo Wii console: The Electronic Auto AC Adapter, the Multi-functional Bag, and the Double Wiimote Power Pack (with Charger stand).

Going into details on the AC Adapter, the site's advertised the unit to be compatible with Wiis of any region, and is expected to work on both 100 and 240 Volt (AC) outlets. Guys who plan on moving between Europe and America on a semi-regular basis may want to pick this gadget up - it'll save you the effort of having to carry two separate units.

Speaking of luggage, the next item on our list is Dragon Electronics' travel bag for the Wii. This shoulder-slung carrying case will provide protection for your Wii console, and carries enough space for your games, AV cable, AC Adapter, Wiimote, Nunchuk, Sensor bar, and accessories. The Wii can be plugged and played directly while it's still in the bag.

The third item on our list is a Wiimote Power Pack with Charger Stand. This kit includes four AAA batteries - enough for two Wiimotes - along with a charger stand capable of giving the batteries a full charge within two hours. The kit is also reportedly compatible with other Rechargeable/Alkaline AAA size dry batteries.

That's a summary of these new products currently up for grabs - full details should be available at the Dragon Electronics site via the source link. Also check out the company's newly released line of PlayStation 3 gear while you browse.

Tiger (of Global Donimation fame) is back with yet another fun addition to everyone's list of GlovePIE scripts. This time, he combines GlovePIE, the Wii-based control scheme for Resident Evil 4, and a copy of the PC version of the game to make a functionally identical version of the Resident Evil 4 Wii on your PCs.

Here's what he had to say about the script:

For gamers that don't have the patience to wait a little while for Capcom's official Wii port, I've made a GlovePIE script which lets you use a Wii Remote and Nunchuk to play the PC port of Resident Evil 4 (aka Biohazard 4), with "Wii Edition" controls. This script uses motion control for aiming and doesn't require a "mouse aim mod", but I'm already at work on another script to add IR Sensor Bar support.

He also has three videos up featuring Leon Kennedy tackling the early parts of the game. If you'd like to know how the game plays with Wii controls before you get the game for the Wii, then you might want to take a look at the vids for yourself, and perhaps give it a try on your own computer. Enjoy!
