With Sony and Microsoft making such big headliners back in E3, the
aftermath has left Nintendo a bit unsung. Worry not though, that's what
the Weekend Warrior is for, so you can get a quick recap of all things
Nintendo that hit the scene this week. Hardware is the name of the game
for the past few days, and so we have a one for a pedometer,
motion-sensors, and a lie detector. |

No ill feelings here. Tomonobu Itagaki and his ex-team have moved on -
he has a new team, Team Ninja has new projects - and he only has the
best wishes for Team Ninja and its new leader, Yosuke Hayashi. It's a
refreshing change to see the man behind the sunglasses be so positive
for a change and he even had enough compliments to go around. Good for
you, Itagaki-san. |

Even without Tomonobu Itagaki and a few other core members, the members
of Team Ninja are still known for their knack for emphasizing female
assets. Proof? Check out Rachel in the E3 trailer for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
Anyway, now that the Tecmo team is up for a Metroid project, it'd be
interesting to know what plans they have for its darling heroine Samus
Aran. Will we be seeing more of Samus? Or will they stick to what she's already got? |

It's been a long, long time since the first snippets of a Metroid Prime Trilogy hit the rumor mill. Nintendo soon shot those down, saying it's "all purely rumor and speculation." Over a year later, Nintendo finally decides to come clean - they've announced that Metroid Prime Trilogy exists and that it's making its way to the Wii. |

Three key devs behind Nintendo's Metroid Prime series have formed a new studio, under the publishing flag of Electronic Arts. What does that mean for us gamers, exactly? It means the prime (hah) talents behind Metroid are now free to develop games for non-Nintendo platforms. Personally I'm looking forward to see what they have in store. More in the full article. |
