The Conduit  - Image 1Everyone went ga-ga over the Wii MotionPlus when it was first announced by Nintendo. The promise of added motion sensitivity was really an appealing idea, especially for The Conduit, the first promising first-person shooter for the Wii. A few days ago, however, it was announced that they decided not to offer support for the accessory. The studio's chief creative officer explains why.

Wii - Image 1Team Matrix (I hear they're old hands at PS2 modding) is reportedly working on delivering a solution for the storage problems that a lot of Wii owners have complained about since Nintendo isn't really doing anything concrete about it yet. The solution here is called WiiZii, a plug and play mod that lets you connect an external HDD via SATA to your Wii.

Wii Homebrew Media Player download - Image 1A new version is out for GeeXboX, the Media Center prototype for the Wii (now in its alpha stages). Wiibrew - Wii Homebrew - news and downloads - Image 1It's been a while since we heard from GeeXboX, but it seems the wait was well worth it. In case you missed the previous release, GeeXboX is a media center prototype for the Wii. This build is based on the recently released Whiite-Linux system, which adds a significant number of features to the program, including networking and USB support. Details in the full article.
