Homebrew coder Molokai has released OpenTyrianWii, a port of the arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter game Tyrian for the Nintendo Wii. The dev says that this release is much more stable and fully functional than the other OpenTyrian ports.

A new Wii-Linux distro is out from developer Bert Jan. It's has the existing Debian/Whiite package as its foundation, but it has Xorg running on top of it. The distro is appropriately named xwhiite. Details after the link.

Homebrew developer nuvalo was able to make some decent headway with the recently release Mame emulator, SDLMame 0.125 on Wii. The latest build of the emulator was finally able to solve the problem which randomly resets small ROMs while running them or loading their savestates.
