Atari - Image 1 There were already a few signs hinting that Atari was having some trouble holding on to the Dragon Ball franchise. A couple of years ago, the publisher clashed with FUNimation over the game license. Namco Bandai announced last month that it had secured publishing rights to three new entries in the franchise. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that it's finishing what it started.

Shiren the Wanderer - Image 1Back at E3, Atlus announced that they had picked up the rights to publish Shiren the Wanderer in North America. The game features randomly-generated areas, intense boss battles, and extensive item customization. The Japanese original also had online features like the rescue system, leaderboards, and a versus mode. Thing is, Atlus hasn't confirmed yet if the online modes will make it into the North American release.

FF4 The After Years - Image 1It's been a long time coming, but now, North America finally gets to experience the sequel to Final Fantasy IV. Not a bad time either, considering the 3D remake of the game was just released last year on the DS. This time, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years will be heading to the WiiWare service, and it won't be a long wait either. Check out the trailer in the full article. It's all-English, and very much all-retro. Can't wait for June 1 to hit!

Undead Knights - Image 1At last year's Tokyo Game Show, Tecmo revealed a pair of games for Sony's PS3-PSP tandem: Quantum Theory and Undead Knights. The former is an FPS for the PS3. The latter is a PSP title where players have to turn enemies into zombies.

Nice, yes? Well, Tecmo's bringing both games to E3. Even better: both games will be getting releases in North America. More after the jump.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Image 1Finally. The Potter gang is back (this time with more raging hormones and some erstwhile snogging behind curtains in between classes). After the whole ordeal with the "Harry Potter and the delayed video game" scenario, we get a street date notched in stone. The game was delayed due to the rescheduling of the movie, but now that mid-2009 is here, we can expect the game to finally roll in. What's more is that the game is coming out a few weeks ahead of the movie too!

Nintendo (image by Andrew Dobson) - Image 1Nintendo's most recent financial report has revealed part of the company's release lineup for the next few months. Frontrunners include the Wii MotionPlus-powered Wii Sports Resort and, of course, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Note that these titles are first-party only. Also, this list is far from definitive, so watch out for more Nintendo announcements during E3.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 - Image 1Just because we're getting Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PSN and XBLA doesn't mean we're also gonna be seeing Marvel vs Capcom 3 on those online services any time soon. This was revealed by Capcom's Seth Killian, who clarified that the MvC2 licensing deal doesn't cover MvC3. Killian also revealed that licensing problems are standing in the way of a US release of Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

WiiWareA few days ago, Amazon started offering game codes for Xbox Live. It was speculated that online services for both WiiWare and PlayStation Network would also eventually land on Amazon too. Half of that speculation comes to light today: Amazon is now offering WiiWare game codes as well, and World of Goo seems to be the first of them - and a good choice for a WiiWare debut on Amazon, if I might add.
