cod3Although a date has yet to be announced for Call of Duty 3, there seems to be no reason why information should be kept from trickling in. We have here the new fact sheet for this action-packed narrative gameplay on the Normandy breakout, which paved the way for the liberation of Paris in World War II.

The game promises to deliver a "living battlefield for an unprecedented variety of combat, with advanced high-definition graphics, detailed character animations and explosive on-screen action" to give you the most intensifying war experience you could ever have.

Coming out on both the PS3 and Wii, the key features for the game are as follows:

Battle Actions: With the all-new close-quarters battle mechanic, the players get to fight hand-to-hand, as well as improvise explosive devices, disarm traps and execute a whole lot of ass-whopping skills a la McGyver.

Branching Mission Paths: Maximizing the technologies offered by the next-gen consoles, the game will provide multiple attack routes, which enable players to confront the enemy the best way he knows how. The way you attack will entirely be left to your disgression, thereby ensuring that much-needed challenge for your tactical skills. Here, you will be exposed to unique mission paths, which may require you to engagte in various special tactics, such as sniping, demolition, and all-out head-on clashes.

Nowhere to Hide: It is important for one to keep his cover, especially when enemies are scurrying about, ready to take you down. This is what adds excitement to this game, because the geographic layout allows players to search and destroy the enemy's hideouts, thereby forcing them to spill out in the open like busted bugs. However, inasmuch as you can blow your enemy's cover, so can they do the same to you. But heck, it's better you get them first than them getting you.

Team-based Multiplayer with Vehicles: Up to 24 players can get to put their battle gears on online, thanks to the combined arms and team-based combat present. Here, you can also pick for yourself if you want to play as infantry or commandeer multiple-occupancy vehicles, such as tanks, jeeps, and motorcycles with sidecars, to name only a few. And then you can get into thoe mobile combat roles for that ultimate multiple player mayhem.

Call of Duty 3 also comes with soldier classes, whereby each class has specific abilities, as well as a ranking system for that utterly diversified squad combat.

So get ready to get to war, cause to the victor goes the spoils.

Call of Duty 3We came to know the first one as "The Finest Hour." Then they gave us the "Big Red One." Now, with the release of the third installment of Call of Duty just around the corner, it's about time this WWII epic game from Activision receive a proper name.

We found this development at GameKult, a French online publication. And we can't help but think how appropriate and coincidental everything is. Call of Duty 3 bring us back amidst the fury of combat during the Normandy invasion. This historic campaign went down in history as the very mission that made the liberation of Paris possible and brought the Allies a step closer to Berlin.

With this in mind, Activision very well thought to name the new title En Marche Vers Paris (March to Paris). Also, GameKult added that March to Paris will be shipping together with the first two titles. As of the moment, this California-based publisher has yet to comment about the matter.

Call of Duty 3 is a multi-platform title that will see earliest release for Wii on October 1. The PS3 and X360 versions ship a little later on November 17.

COD3_boxartCall of Duty 3 (PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360) is a game inspired by the Normandy Breakout after the D-Day landings. The war was fought in 1944 as part of the larger conflict of World War II and was between Western Europe's Nazi Germany and the invading Allied forces. World War II had manifold important effects, many lasting to this day and many of which may forever keep its darkest secrets. The immediate global cost in lives stood at approximately 55-62 million soldiers and civilians.

Treyarch Studios delivers players the almost exact environment settings, harsh conditions, the trauma of the killings in almost a surreal manner with Call of Duty 3. And with the new video, one will see ruins of the city images that immerses players in the war-inspired accounts of the game.

There is no clear game plot yet but basing from the released gameplay videos, the goal is to fight your way to the enemies as this game consists of American, British, Canadian, and Polish soldiers fighting their way against the German lines. Infiltrate a city ravaged by war and destruction as you fight your way to the enemies.

COD3_boxartA month ago, we showed you an Island gameplay video from the third installment in the Call of Duty series. Here's another one, running 1:04 minutes. Featuring all the action that you can expect in Call of Duty 3, the latest gameplay vid will show players how Treyarch was able to incorporate the realistic rendition of events that happened during Battle of Normandy in Saint-Lo Normandy, France - the harrowing offensive that liberated Paris and changed the fate of the world. Even the sounds of the explosions almost sound too real. If you want to immerse yourself in the events during World War 2, then Call of Duty 3 is definitely a must-have.

Call of Duty 3 will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii later this year so better keep your eyes peeled. For the meantime, watch the breathtaking video available for download below.
