When I say there are slim pickings this week, I mean it. The home consoles only get two releases, and there are no new games at all for the Wii and PSP. There's also only one release on PC, but since it's The Sims 3, it's sure to sell a bucketload by its lonesome. The only console not experiencing a game drought this week in the Nintendo DS. There really are no slow release weeks for the DS in terms of quantity, really. Read on for a list of this week's game releases.

Tomy Corporation has already started making a bigger presence for themselves in the games industry, moving past mere publishing and into actual sales and distribution for their Naruto games. Did you know? There will be a new Naruto Shippuden game coming out for the Wii. Thanks to the latest issue of Japanese magazine Shonen Jump, we finally have a confirmation - as well as details - on the new Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3.

It may have been inevitable, but it's still good to get some official word that Tomy is working on a follow-up to the Wii's Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution. A few details await in the full article.

Namco revealed its line-up of titles and their projected financial outcome for 2008 in a recently released financial report summary. Many well-known franchise titles are expected to hit above their expected sales marks and give gamers something to look forward to once they're released. While a lot of Nintendo Wii owners are still waiting for the release of Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution for the Nintendo Wii, Shonen Jump has unveiled images of what it says is Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX2. It comes playable with all the new characters which will appear in future episodes of the celebrated anime.

Sasuke, in his new look, is looking ready to use those snakey powers he got from Orochimaru, and it'll be pretty interesting to have him use the full array of Sharingan abilities on hapless fools. Series rookies Sai, Yamato and others are ready to join the fun, too.

Four-player rumbles are looking good to go again, and the anime-inspired cel-shaded appeal is all intact. We couldn't be more excited to hear more about it.

Feeling hungry? In light of the October 23 release of Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution this week, the Major League Eating group, responsible for organizing most all stomach-centric sports event, is holding a spotlight event at the Nintendo World Store in New York. As it was previously announced, on October 27, the Rockefeller Center will be decked with anything and everything Naruto, from collectible card areas to video game stations.

The day's festivities start at 10 a.m. and will run through until 4 p.m., but the spotlight of the event is the World Ramen Noodle Eating Championship. There's going to be a mandatory chopsticks-only rule for the contest, and will feature some of the most notable celebrities in world of chow-down sports. Some of which include:

• 4th-ranked Tim "Eater X" Janus of New York City, the face-painting tiramisu champ who recently ate 20 pounds of grits in ten minutes
• Crazy Legs Conti, a man who once ate his way out of an 96-cubic foot box of popcorn, earning the nickname, "the Evel Knievel of the Alimentary Canal"
• Arturo "Grande" Rios, the 13th-ranked pigs' feet-eating champ from New Jersey
• best friend duo Eric "“Steakbellie" Livingston and Micah "Wing Kong" Collins
• 18th-ranked Justin Mih, a Harvard graduate student and chopstick specialist
