Atari - Image 1 There were already a few signs hinting that Atari was having some trouble holding on to the Dragon Ball franchise. A couple of years ago, the publisher clashed with FUNimation over the game license. Namco Bandai announced last month that it had secured publishing rights to three new entries in the franchise. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that it's finishing what it started.

Goku - Image 1Now this is one Dragon Ball title you should definitely look into. Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo is a nice cartoony RPG based from the non-overpowered adventures of Goku as the little monkey boy. No Super Saiyans and take-forever-to-kill Freezas here, just the Red Ribbon Army, the wacky old characters from Dragon Ball, and the stretchy stick that Goku never needed as an adult. Check it out.

Lunar: Silver Star Harmony - Image 1 XSEED's E3 2009 press release got buried in the mass of press releases we've seen over the past couple of weeks, but I just had to post it even if it's a bit late since it confirms US releases for two PSP games I've been watching out for. Full list after the jump.

Koei at E3 - Image 1Just out of the presswire, it looks like Namco Bandai won't be the only publisher with a four-game booth. At least, that's what the announcements have been telling us so far. But what makes this E3 special for Koei is that it'll be the first time for them to publicly debut new titles outside Japan. What those are, you'll find out after the jump.

Namco Bandai at E3 - Image 1Another publisher formally announces its E3 roster, and for Namco Bandai, the list has to be the shortest I've seen for this year. No way they're gonna drop Tekken 6, but I thought it'd be accompanied by a few more titles than that plus a bunch of Dragon Ball games. Talk about traveling light.

Son Goku - Image 1Before the merge with Namco, Bandai has always been the publisher to watch when it came to Dragon Ball games. To this day, now as Namco Bandai, the publisher remains to be the world's Dragon Ball game provider, and that tradition continues with two more as Namco Bandai formally announces Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo and Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans.

Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1When contractual obligations are not carried out according to stipulations agreed to by both parties, you can expect an ugly lawsuit to come next. What more if the agreement is not carried out at all? 3D Realms is about to find out the answer to that scenario as Take-Two Interactive files suit against what's left of the developer company for failing to deliver Duke Nukem Forever, via its parent company, Apogee.

Namco Bandai - Image 1Two years ago, Atari Europe was fortunately in the safe zone, despite the mother company's grim and disheartening financial report of Q2 2007. Back then, the problem was isolated only to the US offices, and the Atari branch was said to be unharmed by the restructuring overseas. Today, however, Atari Europe is no more, now having been officially acquired by Namco Bandai.

God Eater - Image 1Want something to mull over for the rest of the evening? Try this one: Namco Bandai has filed a US trademark for one "God Eater". Nothing else is known about this, except for the fact that it's meant to come out on the PC, mobile, and consoles.

On Shelves This Week - Image 1This week's batch is all about bashing stuff! From bashing plastic fighters in Rag Doll Kung Fu, bashing thugs in The Godfather II, and bashing whatever they did with Dragon Ball Evolution (oh the irony that they even called it "evolution"). But let's just dispense with the bashing for now and on to On Shelves This Week!
