Despite the lackluster appeal of movie adaptations of video games, super Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer remains positive that one day, they just might get it right. And it won't suck the living daylights out of us anymore.

Rock Band will soon come in a shade of Green. With a quick announcement, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool, and the music of Green Day will be adding classic and new tracks into the Rock Band Music Store. More after the jump.

The new Country Track Pack for Rock Band hits retail next month, and so Harmonix and MTV Games have released a full list of the artists and tracks included in it. Some of the titles here have already been released on the Rock Band Music Store, but more than half of the 21 songs in the track pack are new. The list is available after the jump.

Harmonix and MTV Games has finally brought back The Beatles into the mainstream with The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii), the Rock Band game starring the most successful band of all time. Catch George, Ringo, Paul, and John as they make some beautiful music together in their E3 debut.

With the June 26 launch of the second Transformers movie looming closer day by day, attention turns to the accompanying video game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2, PC), from Activision, which opened a demo in NYC last week. Now we've got word that the publisher is planning to offer more characters for the game as DLC.

Is there a LEGO Rock Band in the works? If we're going to base our answer on the recently-concluded GDC presentation of Harmonix senior designer Dan Teasdale, the answer would be no. However, if we are going to base it on his should-have-been presentation, that's quite a different matter altogether.

"It's not our goal to sell Mortal Kombat." This is what Geoff Mogilner of Midway told MTV Multiplayer in regards to the circulating assumption that the recent Chapter 11 filing of the game developer has the objective of selling the franchise off.

Last year, Gibson Guitar Inc. filed a suit against Activision's Guitar Hero for allegedly violating patent rights. About a year later today, a U.S. District Court in the Central District of California has finally given out its decision, holding that the music game franchise does not infringe on a 1999 Gibson patent, which simulates musical performance using a 3D headset display and stereo speakers. Forbes recently accused Rock Band of being a "shameless knockoff" of Guitar Hero, only with added peripherals. Shame on you, Forbes. You know how much the truth hurts. EA responded to the accusation with a very firm no comment statement.

UGO is not the bad guy in all this 1UP sale drama, this according to CEO J Moses. "How am I a bad guy?" Moses said in a phone interview with MTV Multiplayer. From his perspective, his company did no harm to 1UP. In fact, they saved it.
