Tattoo-clad drumming icon Travis Barker is alive and kicking, and he's kicking a few songs into Guitar Hero World Tour (360, PS3, Wii) for January. He'll be joined by Oasis, Hinder, Rev Theory, and Nickelback. Didn't Chad Kroeger (of Nickelback) tell us to put Guitar Hero away? Anyway, check out the songs in the full article. |

It's DLC time for Rock Band (Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii) for the week of 12/17. Next week's pack is all about country, so you can add a different flavor to your track list if you want to. That's a big IF. Check out the songs in the full article. |

You're sure to get a jolly, rockin' good time this Christmas with this awesome downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour
(Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) this month. Classic gods of rock has indeed come down to join us mere
mortals, such as The Eagles, Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana, and a pinch of Reggae is added to for taste. Thanks to rookmasterwiz for the tip! |

Jimi Hendrix and The Raconteurs will be appearing in Guitar Hero: World Tour (Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii). They will be bringing three songs each and Jimi's gonna be a playable character. All I can say is: it's about time. |

One edge of the Xbox Live Arcade over Nintendo's Virtual Console system is the fact that XBLA allows prospective buyers to demo the game before spending precious Microsoft points on them. Nintendo doesn't have that policy, but tries to ease the burden a little by letting their crowd see videos of games they have ready for download.
While it isn't as good as having the privilege of sampling a classic title before purchasing it, this is a lot better than throwing your Nintendo currency to get a game that you have no idea of what it looks like and how it plays. Younger gamers who didn't run through the NES and SNES days can see what early The Legend of Zelda titles looked like and decide later on whether they want to travel back in time or stay with their generation. Each game video will last for about 25 seconds which is enough for most people to get a feel of what they may get into. Nintendo has just put up a site dedicated to this service and you can see it if you follow the read URL. |

Somewhat dazed and confused about what to pick up for that special girl in your life? We already helped you out on what games to buy for your little sisters, so why stop there when you need all the help you can get. Xbox recently asked GamerchiX to do a sorta public service for the guys for them to have a clue as to what to gift they should give for their gamer (or wannabe gamer) girlfriends. There were lots of responses which range from the uber expensive (diamonds) to the somewhat sappy (a puppy). Among the oh-so-many answers to that question, there were nine items that most girls would want to receive from their respective special someones. Well, here they are.

Good news, people! Walmart.com has just began offering pre-orders for the Wii Points Card earlier this week. The Points Card is a monetary retail payment system for the Wii's premium game content. Redeemable at the Wii Shop Channel, an online division accessible via your Wii, Walmart.com is retailing 2000 Wii Points for US$ 24. 82.The Virtual Console games, Nintendo's library of classic video game titles, will be initially offered at the Wii shop for US$ 5 to US$ 10. Meanwhile, Microsoft is also offering Microsoft Points, which basically is an online system at retail that pretty much works the same way. This one, though, sells 1600 US$ 19.99 at retail. Wii lands in the U. S. on November 19 with a tag of US$ 249.99. And, no Paris. Walmart does not sell walls. |
