On Shelves This Week - Image 1Activision's Guitar Hero: Metallica kicks off this week's batch of new game releases. Actually, it's pretty much the only big game for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 this week (not counting PSN and XBL releases, of course). The Wii and DS meanwhile, still continue to get a lot of games that you may never have heard about of even want to play, but there are a few bright points: Gardening Mama, Tokyo Beat Down, and Major Minor's Majestic March. And the PSP? It gets one game. Yep, one.

Guitar Hero: MetallicaSorry, Karl, still no sign of Four Horsemen. Coming from the band itself, the full tracklist for Guitar Hero: Metallica (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2) has now been more or less confirmed. We say "more or less" because when Metallica posted the list on their site, they had a "tracklist subject to change" disclaimer. Well, it's better than nothing, and we can be rest assured that, since this list is coming from Metallica after all, this is "more or less" the real deal. No more resorting to partial lists and mini-updates - check out the full article for the entire set.

Rock Band 2 - Image 1MTV Games has announced that songs from the first Rock Band game will not be available as downloadable content for Rock Band 2. Apparently, the reasons are capitalistic as they plan to publish the first game "indefinitely." Better call up your friends and see if you can borrow a copy to export the songs.
