Wii and DS Weekend Warrior - Image 1Time for a quick end-of-the week recap of the biggest news from the Nintendo side of the fence. As far as this week goes, the Nintendo DS news has definitely slowed down to almost a halt, with the exception of Kingdom Hearts. Nintendo - Image 1The Wii's System Menu has been updated to version 3.5 - in Korea, at least. Yesterday, it was found that Nintendo had sent out notices to the Korean Wii Message Board informing their consumers of the said update. More details after the jump.

They also sent out a press release, calling out certain countries where "piracy is rampant," and China is at the top of their list.

Modchip - Wiikey 2 Anounced - Image 1The Wiikey team has released version 2 of their modchip. Changes look mostly related to performance, although there is now added support for "problem titles" such as Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. More details in the full article.

Nintendo's regional limitations hindering Wii sales in Korea - Image 1We hear that all is not well in South Korea for Nintendo, who's next generation console is taking bad rap from the hardcore elite in the country.
