The homebrew coders from the ScummVM Team have released a new update for the classic point-and-click adventure games emulator. The latest release candidate update has added support for more games, more improvements and other bug fixes.

GamesCom sure did not disappoint this week, although it did color our front page purple for the most part. With the success of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC and the kind of anticipation we're seeing for Modern Warfare 2, it looks like Activision wants to use the profitable name as they bring the glorious FPS into the Nintendo yard. Netflix video streaming has been rumored to be headed for the Nintendo Wii console before, and now here's another rumor saying that the service will be launched not only on the Wii but on Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices as well.

Surprisingly, we've got quite some bare pickings from the industry this week. Guess what comes down must go up. If last week we've had software/hardware dilemmas in terms of quantity, this week, we've got them updates by the truckloads, and the Industry News section takes the backseat.

A Telltale games employee who goes by the username Yare has claimed on the official Telltale forums that the Apple iPhone packs more power than Nintendo's Wii home console. Not just more powerful, but "much more powerful."

For the longest time, Dead Space: Extraction has been known to be exclusive for the Wii. That is now about to change, so it seems, as Electronic Arts teased at the Comic-Con that it is Wiixclusive "right now."
