Wii Earth - Image 1See the world from a bird's eyeview. That bird must fly very, very high up if that's the case. WiiEarth allows you to see the world Google Earth-style. Developer Paul Wagener added some more Google images for this release, giving you a bigger picture of the Earth. Demo vid in the full article.

Logo of Google Maps - Image 1If you're the type who loves browsing through your hometown on Google Street View, then you'll definitely get a kick out of this interesting new mod which incorporates a Wii Balance Board peripheral. A blogger on blog.katsuma.tv was able to hot-wire the Google Earth feature onto a PC, allowing a user to literally walk through the streets of the city being viewed using the Balance Board. Check out the video in our full article.

Carl Kenner's GlovePie is gaining a lot of attention from Wii users. Basically, the guy made Ninty's next-gen controller into a PC accessory and in fact, its latest version was released just a few hours ago. Now there are a lot of people tinkering with this creation, including someone called coulston. He shared with us just what he can do with a Wiimote and GlovePie.

coulston did a Wiimote GlovePie script called WiiGoogleEarth. From the name itself, you know by now what it does. Basically, it enables a Google Earth interface for the Wii remote. To use it, tilt the Wiimote to move around, press B and tilt to rotate, press plus and minus to control zoom, and press one for a full-screen view.

Go ahead and watch the video, it sure looks fun!
