Sega - Image 1Sega was pretty generous in providing information as to the release dates of its games for the PAL region. We at QJ were lucky enough to get them from German site GameFront, and so we turn them over to you, as you are the ones to benefit from it the most.

There's a lot of good video games lined up for this year, especially for the coming Autumn season. Of course, Sega also has lineups for the coming summer, and Holidays. However, there are no specific dates yet, basically, except for the Mental game Crush for the PSP. This one will be heading out your way next week, May 25.

But despite that lack of exact information, at least you have a basic idea as to when to prepare for these games. Check out the full list below.

PLATFORM DATE

Crush May 25, 2007
Alien Syndrome Early Summer 07
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars Early Summer 07

Square Enix, what say you? - Image 1News got out that Square Enix has registered The Last Remnant as a video game title last April 24. Now, we haven't a clue what this game or its name means, but we can offer some guesses as to what The Last Remnant might be.

Gaming site Gameswank has theorized that this might be a Square Enix game for either the Nintendo Wii or for Microsoft's Xbox 360. That could be possible as the game company tends to branch out and experiment on both established and newly-launched consoles. And there are speculations circulating that this could also be a game for the handhelds. From what we gather, there's no indication in the trademark (screenshot here) that it isn't.

But here's what we've been hearing about Square Enix's latest registered game: It could very well be a "sub-title to an already well-known product" (translated from GameFront entry). What video game and genre is Squeenix known for again? But then there's that next-gen MMORPG the company's rumored to be working on...

Again, there's nothing much we could glean on the The Last Remnant trademark document. And until Square Enix announces anything about this, we can only guess.

Satoru Iwata - Image 1Now, who would have thought it?

According to the German gaming site GameFront, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun has released a report about a press conference which has just been held by Nintendo. As most press conferences go, the Nintendo officials spoke about upcoming game titles, the financial gains of the company, movements and plans in general. However, one simple statement from Nintendo President Satoru Iwata made the event a whole lot more exciting.

According to the Japanese newspaper, Iwata stated that they "would love to see Kutaragi join up with Nintendo".

Now, this may generate a lot of reactions, but then again, how this will all develop would be nothing short of interesting. After all, Kutaragi's honorary position at Sony isn't exactly a very active office, and The Father of Playstation has also stated in recent interviews that his next ventures would mostly be independent from Sony, so there MAY be a good chance that he'll take Nintendo up on his offer. After all, it cannot be denied that Kutaragi has a long history with Nintendo, since he IS the guy who gave the SNES the gift of sound, via the SPC700 chip which he designed.

However, considering the fact that Kutaragi was also once badly slighted by Iwata's predecessors (think: Hiroshi Yamauchi, CES 1989, and a botched Play Station announcement... note the space in between "Play Station"), one can't really tell what Crazy Ken will do next.

Nintendo's Kirby's Dream Course for the Super NES - Image 1Straight from GameFront.de, we've got word that Virtual Console gamers in Japan will be receiving five new titles for their retro gaming pleasure. There's one game from the NES, one from the SNES, and three from the Genesis system. They're expected to come out by April 24, although there's no indication if other regions will be seeing these titles come out soon.

For the Nintendo Entertainment System, fans can now enjoy side-scrolling space shooter Gradius 2 from Konami. Or you can opt for a golfin' good time with Kirby's Dream Course from Nintendo for the Super NES system. But Genesis retro gamers may probably rejoice that Sega's triple-treat Puyo Puyo Tsuu, Pulseman and Bahamut Senki will be around to tickle their fancies.

Once again, we are not sure when these titles will be out for the U.S. and Europe, but granted that the Virtual Console will be getting some new blood from SNK and Sega's repertoire of arcade classics, you can be sure that the line up for your region will have enough games for everybody.

Wonder how she sounds in Pro Logic II? - Image 1Among the other features that Capcom's Resident Evil 4 the Wii will bring to the Wii (aside from ripping through Los Ganados with the Wiimote rather than a chainsaw controller) are audio and visual. GameStop's product page for RE4 Wii specifically mentions "16:9 widescreen" and "Dolby Pro Logic II". This info is also mirrored in GameFront.de, so the info holds true, so far.

Nope, nothing said about 480p, but who knows? Even if it isn't, them Plagas-plagued villagers look revolting enough even without going to progressive-scan.

GameStop lists a June 25 shipping date for RE4 Wii, with a tag of US$ 30.00. So it's only a couple more months before you see more of Ashley Graham... and she slaps you for doing so.

We thought the previous rumor about a supposed Resident 4 Wii Edition might have been a minor fluke on the part of GameStop, however, recent developments seem to make this dodgy title a tad bit clearer. Apparently, more people have been reporting info of other gaming retail shops having a listing for a certain "Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition" as well. If this had only been isolated as an occurrence in GameStop's database, this would have been easier to dismiss as a small error. But now that other people are reporting it...

Pics of  Pics of

Well, the facts are, over at Go Nintendo, two individual reports of two different retail stores in two different sides of the planet have shown the same thing: Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. The first pic above, on the left, is from a Japanese retail product page (which was later on, unfortunately, taken down), while the one on the right is straight from a terminal in Blockbuster (who has a separate entry in their database for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles).

Also, in a comment from our previous coverage of the GameStop report, Dan (Unregistered) had said: "» Still up in stores // I work for a Gamestop and we still have the title in our system in the store and people can put a reserve down for it." Intriguing, eh? Maybe there's more to this after all.

Over at the other side of the world, German site GameFront.de (a reputable source if ever there was) even reports of some alleged first few details of the Wii version for RE4. They mention that the game would be played with the Wiimote, but also support the Classic Controller. They also talk of a "Gallery Mode" and the inclusion of Ada Wong (as playable?).

All these seem to be too coincidental to report of the same thing. And to think that they're from different sources from different parts of the world... What's cooking, Capcom? Let us in on more info!

Capcom - Image 1April 12 is a few winks away and hopefully, Capcom and Christian Svensson will fulfill their promise of a game-related announcement. For now, we would have to make do with other Capcom announcements. Checking out German gaming site, Gamefront, we managed to find a PAL schedule of Capcom game releases. Here are the titles that our European friends could expect.
So there. For now, we'll have to make do with this tidbit. Here's to hoping that Capcom will throw us a good chunk of news come the Capcom Gamer's Day Event happening on April 12.

We picked all of these from Gamefront. According to the folks there, the latest issue of magazine Nintendo Dream announced that a sequel to a famous series will be announced soon. Unfortunately, they didn't give any information whatsoever. We've translated everything they've got to say regarding the matter:

Nintendo Dream: "Successor of famous series is soon revealed"

Japanese Nintendo Dream it announces in its newest expenditure that soon the successor of a famous series is revealed. With details (e.g. manufacturers) the magazine holds back itself.

Now the million dollar question is "What series are we talking about here?" What do you think, guys? We'll gather all our resources and use our special abilities to sniff out info, and then we'll tell you if we find out anything. So stick around.
