Just as promised, Konami's teaser website for Kojima Productions' next
project has opened its gates with blustery winds and flying cows (umm
right, is Helen Hunt in the house?).So what game is it? Gives a bit of a Heavy Rain vibe, but maybe that's just me. Some are already linking this to that "Tornado Outbreak" listing found a couple days ago, but only time will tell. |

It was a great year for games. Well, any year is a great year for games. And now that the year is ending it's time to look back on all the games we loved. Likewise, we look back on all the games we haven't played... and hope they're up for grabs on sales bins. GameFly's offering a year-end sale on pre-played games with free shipping until January 4. When you think of light gun coin-op arcade shooters, one immediately thinks of the zombie shoot-em-up classic The House of the Dead and its numerous sequels. Now, it seems that the series itself will be getting the next-gen polish it deserves, as a recent GameFly ad sighting has pretty much given hope to the pipe dream of seeing the series come alive on the Nintendo Wii. And going by GameFly's rather flawless reputation when it comes to rumors, this could be a keeper. Get the entire scoop from the full article. |

According to a recent listing from online rental store GameFly, a new title called Winter Games is coming to Nintendo Wii this November 16. It's being published by Conspiracy Entertainment but aside from that, nothing is known about this title.Except maybe for the fact that it's going to be a compilation of sports games. The older gamers might remember that a game with a similar title was released back in 1986 on Commodore 64. It was then ported on video game consoles. That Winter Games was developed by Epyx. It featured a total of eight players who compete in various sports games in an attempt to win a medal. Nintendo has yet to comment on the matter and until it does, we'll just putting this one under Rumors. |

The results are in for GameFly's most requested games for the week ending September 7. Last week's "All platforms" chart sees Midway Games' Stranglehold overtaking 2K Games' Bioshock, which has sunk to fourth place. Second in the list is Electronic Art's (EA) Medal of Honor: Airborne, with Bungie Studio's Halo 3 sitting comfortably at third. Meanwhile, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare caps the list at number five. As some readers may have noticed, last week's most wanted has effectively been dominated by 360 titles. You may also notice below that the 360-specific chart is exactly the same as the "All platforms" chart. For the other top picks in their specific platform chart, we have Nintendo's Metroid Prime 3: Corruption going strong as the most wanted for the Wii console, with Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword making its cut as the PlayStation 3's top pick. For the portables, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass holds first place for the DS; Capcom's Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is currently the PSP's most wanted game. |

In the video game sales and rental scene in North America, GameFly has reported that 2K Australia and 2K Boston's BioShock is sill terrorizing at the top of the most requested games list, despite issues with widescreens and field of view. This would mark the horror first-person shooter's fourth week on top, for the week ending August 27, 2007. The game was trailed by next-generation multi-platformer John Woo's Stranglehold by Midway Games, dodging contenders at second spot. Blue Dragon by Mistwalker has grabbed a solid third, although Nintendo's Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has taken a one spot dip to number five. Get the top five most requested games per platform noted last week at the full article! |

It seems like video game rental chain Gamefly knows something we all don't know. According to one product listing on the store's online site, PS2 and PSP title Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law will also be making an appearance on Nintendo Wii. As of this writing, publisher Capcom has yet to issue an official statement. Most say that Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law is going to be the PSP's answer to DS' highly-successful Phoenix Wright. We have to say that Birdman has what it takes to give Phoenix a run for his money given the game's exciting gameplay, storyline, and characters that will definitely provide each and every gamer a hearty laugh. Furthermore, the Gamefly listing also noted that the Wii version of Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law will be released on November 15. We'll just put this one inside our Rumor basket until Capcom or developer High Voltage Software say something definite on the matter. |
