Great news to all Wii emulator fans! Homebrew coders tehpola, sepp256 and emu_kidid has release the first beta of Wii64, a port of the ever-popular multi-OS Nintendo 64 emulator, Mupen64, to the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube through the libOGC library.

Homebrew coder Marc has released a new update to Dop-IOS, a homebrew tool for that allows you download and install any IOS from Nintendo servers. The latest version is now updated to support the new IOS on the recently released Wii system menu 4.2.

A new update for Dop-IOS MOD has been released courtesy of homebrew coders Arikado, SifJar and PhoenixTank. Dop-IOS MOD is an enhanced version of Dop-IOS that allows you to choose IOSs with or without the trucha bug. The latest update has added new features in the Dop-IOS base and some bug fixes.

Homebrew coder Tantric together with michniewski has released another round of update for Snes9x GX, a Super Nintendo emulator for the Nintendo Wii based on the PC emulator SNES9x 1.51 and powered by libwiigui. The latest update is a bug fix release.

Homebrew coders Tim Brugman and Maikel Bloemendal has released a new update for BlueMSX-wii, a MSX 1/MSX 2/MSX 2+/Turbo R emulator for the Nintendo Wii based on blueMSX. The latest update is now compatible with BlueMSX V2.8.2 and features full support for GameCube controller with some various fixes.

The Dolphin Team has released a new update for the Unofficial SVN build of Dolphin, the Gamecube and Nintendo Wii emulator for Windows. The latest SVN build is a feature pack release and is said to be the best and most stable bin release from the team by far.

Natsume has confirmed that Wii gamers in the US and Canada are in for more farming adventures this year. Apparently they really are going to release Harvest Moon: Magical Melody as a GameStop exclusive.

Homebrew coder Aquilino has released StartPatch, a homebrew application for the Nintendo Wii that let's you patch your System Menu 4.0 and 4.1. The app is similar to Starfall created by Crediar.
