Homebrew coder BScrk has released a new version of Wiiero, a homebrew clone of the classic Worms like  DOS game Liero especially built for the Nintendo Wii. The latest update is a bug fix release to further improve the stability of the excellent homebrew game.

Homebrew coders r-win and giantpune have released GeckoReader & libgeck, a useful PC utility for the Nintendo Wii. GeckoReader is a program that opens a command prompt and outputs what it reads from a USB gecko while the libgeck is a small library that you can link your programs for debugging.

A new update for StartPatch has been released courtesy of homebrew coders Aquilino, BlackAce83, and TiMeBoMb. StartPatch is a homebrew app that allows you to patch the Nintendo Wii System Menu v4.0, v4.1, or v4.2, similar to StarFall. The homebrew is based on Menu Patcher by Isaac356.

Great news to all Wii emulator fans! Homebrew coders tehpola, sepp256 and emu_kidid has release the first beta of Wii64, a port of the ever-popular multi-OS Nintendo 64 emulator, Mupen64, to the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube through the libOGC library.
