The Dolphin Team has recently released a new update of the Unofficial SVN build of Dolphin, a Gamecube and Nintendo Wii emulator for Windows. The latest SVN build offers lot's of new features, bug fixes and various improvements.

Great news to all Wii emulator fans! Homebrew coders tehpola, sepp256 and emu_kidid has release the first beta of Wii64, a port of the ever-popular multi-OS Nintendo 64 emulator, Mupen64, to the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube through the libOGC library.

SLotman has released a new update for MiiSX, an MSX 1/MSX 2/MSX 2+ emulator for the Nintendo Wii based on fMSX-SDL. New features and more bug fixes has been added in the changelog for version 0.3.

Raz0red's Wii homebrew app Wii2600 is an Atari 2600 emulator based on the open-source Stella 2.7.2. If you're new to the whole Wii homebrew scene, an emulator will basically let you play games made for other systems on your Wii console. In this case, Atari 2600 games. It's that time of the week again, eh? Time sure flies. It's been a busy week for Nintendo and the Wii and DS games, so let's get crackin'! For starters, we've got lots of Monster Hunter 3 updates for you guys, so you'd better check those out. Homebrew developer D_Skywalk has released a new emulator for the Nintendo Wii. Wiituka is a Amstrad CPC emulator for the Wii. If you don't know, the Amstrad CPC is a series of 8-bit  computers produced during the the 1980s and early 1990s.

Askot's Neopop Wii homebrew emulator is for the SNK NeoGeo Pocket handheld console. Originally based on neopopUK's NeoPop/SDL , it was later on ported to the GameCube by the "Genesis Plus" team, and then converted from a PC based platform to run on the GameCube's proprietary PPS Gekko processor. DolphinWX has been updated by Daco, and it's now up to Rev2069. This Gamecube emulator also has preliminary support for the Wii as well as basic Triforce emulation. Just a few bugfixes in this revision, but they ought to be useful when using this brew.

It's starting to look like emulation day here on the Wii blog. Here's another newly-updated emulator: WiiHandy/SDL. This app from Wiibrew dev raz0red lets Wii owners emulate Atari Lynx games using their consoles. It's based on the Handy/SDL source code and is currently at version 0.2.
