Everlast - Image 1There's still a lot of doubt about fitness games on the Wii actually making anyone fit, but Everlast seems to think that they could make sure that you do, at least a little bit. For that, they're gonna turn your Wiimotes and Nunchuks into your very own Wii dumbells. Can't quite picture it? Hit the jump and see for yourself.

In its first week alone, said title has earned over 1.7 million copies throughout European retail.

John McEnroe - Image 1While it's nothing out of the ordinary for us to be running into Wiixclusive tennis games, we shouldn't take Grand Slam Tennis into that category. Did you know that this EA Sports title featuring the four Grand Slam events and the biggest ATP and WTA stars was supposed to come with PS3 and Xbox 360 versions? Electronic Arts announced last week that they've put those on indefinite hold, and now you can read up and find out why.

On Shelves This Week - Image 1With this week's big guns coming as digital downloads, the games that will actually be on shelves this week won't be beckoning for your cash too hard. This week's MVP goes to NCAA Football 10, which has received some good reviews despite EA's lackluster performance in the last few years. You may not be personally interested in the rest of the list, but someone you know might love to get one as a gift. Who knows?

Madden NFL 10 - Image 1You'll have to postpone tossing the ol' pigskin in-game until Madden NFL 2010 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PC, PS2) comes out, that is unless you're still playing Madden 09. In the meantime, EA Sports rolled out a bunch of screens for us to scrutinize while waiting for updates on the latest game in the John Madden franchise.

Wii Grand Slam Tennis - Image 1With the end of this year's championships at Wimbledon, EA Sports hands out some new screens for Grand Slam Tennis featuring only two players - the champs of the men's and ladies' singles: Roger Federer and Serena Williams. Both are multiple grand-slammers, both amazing athletes, and both share the boxart with Johnny Mac. Was that another EA prediction? If so, they totally nailed that one.

Nintendo Wii - Image 1 Wedbush Morgan's exhaustive report on the effects of ancillary revenues on the console cycle contains a little nugget that suggests a Wii HD could convince consumers that it's "the last console they will ever need" and that it could seriously derail any chances of a PS3 comeback.

Peter Moore - Image 1Finally stepping up to the plate in defense of video games is Electronic Arts exec Peter Moore -- and to Mr. President, Barack Obama himself, no less! After recommending that kids should play out in the sunshine more rather than play videogames indoor, in his speech to the American Medical Association, Obama has now been challenged by Moore to get into a 30-Day Challenge.
