Finally stepping up to the plate in defense of video games is Electronic Arts exec Peter Moore -- and to Mr. President, Barack Obama himself, no less! When you've got a game called Grand Slam Tennis, of course it's gonna be all about the Slams! This trailer from Electronic Arts will now take us a tour of the four Grand Slam events in the ATP and WTA tours, featuring the courts and grand stages of the epic Grand Slam matches, plus a few interesting matchups along the way. Just as the French Open heats up in Roland Garros right now, there's a clip in the vid that tennis fans might want to take note of.

After last week's rather paltry offerings, we finally get a hefty bunch of new releases. The PSP gets the shaft again this week with no releases, followed by the PC which has only one actual playable new game out. OK, there are two PC titles in the list, but come on. Hannah Montana? Meanwhile, the DS gets more than the usual amount of good games. Really, there are only a couple of shovelware titles in there. Usually they make up like 60% of the DS list. Great news for those eagerly waiting for Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus accessory. EA Sports has recently announced that they're moving up the releases of two of their upcoming Wii sports games to coincide with the MotionPlus launch.

As with all covers of sports titles, Madden NFL 10 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PC, PS2) gets to showcase the figurehead of what the sport is all about. Nintendo's really trying to get some motion going for Wii MotionPlus. Electronic Arts has now formally announced that they're pushing through with the collaboration, bundling two of their upcoming titles with the new motion-sensing controller. Soon, you could be playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis with the latest in Ninty's motion-sensing technology.
