Homebrew coder Crayon has released a new update Wii-Tac-Toe, a homebrew game based on the classic pencil-and-paper game tick tack toe. The game was programmed in C++ using devkitPro along with GRRLIB. The latest update has added some new features to make the game more fun and enjoyable.

 Wii homebrew developer Robert Dixon has emailed us to let us know that he has now released his latest project, Wii Game Studio. It's a code-free easy tool for developing Wii homebrew. More details after the jump.

This homebrew game is based on the old Atari tank shoot-em-up game Combat. Remade for the Wii by developer spiffen, v0.1 was developed using devkitPro tools, as well as GRRLIB for rendering, sndlib for music and sound, as well as support for the use of Wiimote.

MenuPatcher v1.1 from Waninkoko patches the System Menu in memory to run it under Custom IOS and allow backup loading through disc channel. That's basically what this Wii brew app does.

Wii homebrew devs, check this out. It's the BCX, or the BASIC to C Translator. It simply means that the app converts the BASIC code to C. Then after conversion, the resulting code is compiled with the devKitPro toolchain with all the libraries like a normal Wiibrew app.

Homebrew dev Yossi has released an app that lets users convert their .elf files to .dol files. Very useful for Wii owners running Homebrew Channel beta 9, which doesn't support DevKitPC .elf files. More info in the full article.
