I'm personally baffled and not all too keen about Koei Tecmo's proposition of  incentivizing their staff to expand their families. Maybe they do need the population in their headquarters' town. But what I am sure of is that the news and updates here at QJ are expanding and on their own, beyond the shadows of E3.The (post) event updates have considerably slowed down, but in its place are new items and updates to buzz about, like a new custom firmware, executives' gripes about leakages in the industry, and pushing forth the race of this generation from mere hardware to motion control. Waninkoko has released the latest Custom IOS36 Wii custom firmware, bumping it up to rev 7. Most of the changes involve improvements to the DIP plugin. Meanwhile, he's also rolled out MenuPatcher v1.0, which goes hand in hand with cIOS36 rev 7.

Wiibrew dev waninkoko has released the latest version of Custom IOS36, the custom firmware installer for the Wii. The program is now on rev 05, sporting the custom DIP module v0.2. More details after the link.

Although waninkoko's cIOS custom firmware installer is a popular program, some circles in the Wiibrew community prefer not to use it. As an alternative, Wiibrew dev tona has provided cIOS PatchMii Installer, an alternative program that doesn't require you to have the specific IOS WAD to install, but instead patches the existing one. Cooling off from updating his Custom Firmware software for a while, Wiibrew developer waninkoko has released a new application. Called Channel Loader, it lets you launch any channel of any region installed on your Wii console. More details in the full article.

Waninkoko has rolled out another update to his custom firmware installer for the Wii, Custom IOS. A couple of functions have been dropped in the code, but the major change is the switch of the IOS base, which is now 36 instead of 37. More details in the full article.
