Costco Mario Party 8 bundle - Image 1

Good news for those of us who have yet to succumb to the temptation of nabbing a Wii of our very own: Costco stores all over the US are now offering an exclusive Wii package that's easy on the budget and very beneficial to those looking to get some quality time with the latest entry in the Mario Party series, Mario Party 8.

The bundle comes with the Wii Console itself, a copy of Mario Party 8, and a free Wiimote. That's two Wiimotes in one package, with a Mario game thrown into the mix - all for the wallet-friendly price of US $329.99, as you can see on the image up top. Not only can you start playing right away, but you can also compete head-to-head with another player as soon as you pop that game in. Sweet!

Definitely good news that stores are now wising up (and stocking up) when the Wii's concerned. So rush out now and grab one from your nearest Costco store before they run out of stock. Good hunting!

Lavander is the new... pink? - Image 1

Okay. It's one of those times when, once again, the accuracy of the information that's posted on retailers' product pages could either be dead on or dead wrong. As was found on Costco's website, it appears that they're selling copies of that quirky little Wii game, WarioWare Smooth Moves. That alone has nothing wrong with it, but what everyone is curious about is why in the world is the cover of the game purple? (Okay. Fine. It's lavender.)

By now, we're all familiar with the fact that the U.S. version of the game comes with a pink cover. The PAL version, on the other hand, is yellow. We've never heard of a purple one, though, and we can't say that it's also for another territory as the purple anomaly bears the ESRB seal.

Anyway, we're taking a stab at several possible answers here. Either this is an upcoming or existing version which we're not quite sure we've ever heard about, or it could be one of those misprints that, like old stamps and bills, end up being rare and valuable in the end... or somebody in the Costco offices needs to have his or her monitor's color settings calibrated.

Wii-nventory

We just found a site that is sort of a real-time inventory status checker for Wii consoles. Not that you'll run into any shortages or whatever, but just in case you need to plan purchases. It's a nice service to take advantage of.

Well, would'ya look at that? As of this posting, only eBay's got stuff available. Amazon, Circuit City, Walmart, and even CostCo are out of Wiis to sell... Gee I wonder why? Oh well, it's hard being popular. Anyhow, judging from this, things are looking peachy for Nintendo, we can't help but wonder if things will stay this way, but then again, only time could tell.

For now, if you want to use the service yourself, be sure to check the VIA link that we have below.

CostcoA couple of days ago, we got word from QJ reader 2complexic that Costco will be offering Wii bundles for US$ 399. His tip came with a picture to prove the authenticity of the report. Though it looks credible, we still needed to hear it straight from Costco. And we did, thanks to another QJ reader trfflshffle.

Costco has notified its members via email that the Nintendo Wii Bundle will be available on November 19 at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. The item will be displayed on costco.com until it is sold out. Since the Wii supply is "extremely limited", Costco will accept orders from current Costco members only on a first come, first served basis. Other Costco warehouses will have Wii, albeit in small quantities, on November 19.

It's all good that we know the details, but the problem is we still don't know the games included in the bundle. Best guess would be The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Wii Bundle? Not exactly something the boss would want to see you do, but it's information nevertheless. Go Nintendo picked up word from a reader about Costco offering Wii bundles, and it even came with a picture.

2complexic, the above-mentioned reader, works for Costco and decided to take a peek at what the company had in store for Nintendo of America's launch of the Wii. According to the tip, Costco will be offering a Wii bundle that comes with two games for US$ 339. No indication yet on what those two titles will be or how reliable this information is. We just wish there was a better deal.

Of course, what would be an article without pictures right? 2complexic works at the Costco he grabbed the info from and took a quick picture using his phone. It's up for you to decide whether it's real or not, we suppose, but you could always check with your local stores for their offerings and input on the matter. Till there's final confirmation, this is going to stay in our usual rumor folder.
