We all know that Ubisoft and Jordan Mechner have been working on a new Prince of Persia video game for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Well, apparently that's not the only thing Mechner's been busy with. At this year's San Diego Comic-con he revealed that he is currently working on a follow-up to Karateka. More information on this can be found in the full article. |

When you've got a powerful suit of armor, what do you with it? Why, you use it, of course. In the case of the Iron Man video game, that would mean using it against tanks, missiles, fighter jets and what not. Sega's captured it on video, too. Turn to the full article after the jump for some high-flying armored action. |

Whether you like video game-based movies or not, "Resident Evil: Extinction" is well on its way. September 21 is right around the corner, and we can expect aggressive marketing before the fated day comes. To promote the movie, Sony unleashed a hot BMW motorcycle at Comic-con.
Because of the "Zombie Violence" tag, let's just call it that. The decals look sweet and all, the polish is perfect, and the whole thing looks like a beast, but we'd sell a dozen Ducati to the junkyard just to get a bike with Resident Evil on it. Watching the movie is an entirely different issue. |

There were over 60 games playable in the San Diego Comic Con much to the delight of gamers who attended. While some of the video games were still behind closed doors, only unveiled to people from the press, one of the games available to the public drew quite a bit of attention. We're talking about Capcom's Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbados. The game was generally enjoyed by those who played it, judging from the lines behind the two stations where they featured it. The booth also happened to be giving out stickers, which was promptly looted by those visiting the booth. IGN noted that they heard multiple people mention "Oh, that's the 'Zack & Wiki' game!" as well as permutations of that statement. That kind of recognition from people is pretty solid proof of the game's rising popularity. We can openly say that the first public unveiling San Diego Comic-Con show of Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbados was a success. The challenge now would be for Capcom to sustain this wave of interest until its launch? |

You gotta hand it to Square Enix. When it comes to drawing power and fan devotion, they're right in on the A-List. In this year's Comic-Con, their gear and memorabilia are selling like crazy. Check out the loot.
The most popular franchises that the revered Japanese firm are all represented. Knights of the Round summon figures, Cactuar plush dolls, trading cards, Kingdom Hearts figures and many more are displayed in the booth and interested buyers seem not to mind the price tags. These are, after all, items that can't be found elsewhere. If you're low on budget, looking around the place and drooling over the merchandise would probably suffice. When will we see SOLDIER uniforms going on retail? We don't know but we'll be ready when they come. More pics in Siliconera via the Read link below! |

Disappointed
at the last E3? Capcom has something big - even bigger than its E3
offerings - up its sleeve in the upcoming San Diego Comic Con. With
gaming stations, tournaments, demos, freebies, signings...heck, even
Nerdcore rappers, Capcom is going to give out a big shebang for the
already exciting Comic Con.From the looks of things, anyone not impressed with how the E3 Media and Business Summit turned out will find themselves enjoying in what Capcom has in store for its fans. Merchandise such as exclusive Street Fighter shirts made for the comic comvention will be available, and there will be cosplay contests. There will also be autograph signing sessions with Minae Matsukawa, the producer of the Ace Attorney series. Tournaments will also be held in a 20x20 boxing ring arena. How cool is that? Aside from what we've just mentioned, Capcom will be showcasing its games in the San Diego Comic Con. For the list of Capcom games and titles from other companies, you can check out our previous article. |

Probably one of the biggest independent game developer presence coming to Comic-Con International: San Diego, Foundation 9 Entertainment (F9E) has just recently polished up their list of game demonstrations for the San Diego show. And with their official announcement via press wire, they've chosen five new games in their portfolio for non-interactive and playable demonstrations. Godzilla: Unleashed rampages first in their list of games, of which this city-stomping title of monstrous proportions will be offered as a playable demonstration for the first time since E3 2007. Sonic Rivals 2, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, and Super Puzzle Fighter II: Turbo HD Remix are also expected to make a showing in the event. "We're excited to let fans get their hands on some highly anticipated releases and see what they think," said Foundation 9 CEO Jon Goldman. The company is also planning to continue its Comic-Con tradition of selling merchandise for games and games, especially action figures and comics on F9E's original intellectual property, Death, Jr. Event fans will be able to spot Foundation 9's booth, number 4630, at the San Diego Convention Center from July 26-29. |

Capcom's appearance at Comic-con 2007 in San Diego should prove to be a much bigger event than what this giant company did at E3. In a booth that features open gaming stations, attendees will be able to get their hands on Zack & Wiki, Harvey Birdman, Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man ZX Advent, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Rocketmen and Moto GP. An Ace Attorney game will also be playable, but we're not certain which iteration of Phoenix Wright it'll be. The most noteworthy of all, of course, are playable demos of Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. That's right, E3 this year never had that much of a privilege to serve the hottest games coming under Capcom's belt. As if gamers attending Comic-con weren't lucky enough, the Capcom store will also feature plenty of games at discount prices and merchandise up for grabs. Here are some that you can expect to find:
