Nintendo Wii - Image 1 We've been clamoring for downloadable content for the Wii for some time now, but it's currently available to Wii Ware games only, like Final Fantasy Chronicles: My Life as a King. But there's light at the end of the tunnel, it seems, in the form of Samba de Amigo's boxart in GameStop sporting Nintendo's Pay-to-Play logo. Check out the box art in the full article.

Logo of Nintendo's Wii console - Image 1Don't look now, but we've spotted a couple of box art covers to a pair of titles that will soon be appearing on Nintendo's next gen console. In particular, we've got ninja and Jedi galore with the appearance of Electronic Arts' and Nunchuk Games' Ninja Reflex (Wii, DS)and Lucasarts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, DS) for the Wii.

Check out the nifty box art covers after the jump!

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Wii to have co-op online play? - Image 1One of the most appreciated features of Lego Star Wars video games is its co-op gameplay scheme. For those who've yet to try any of the already released titles, a second player is allowed to come in any time in the game and then drop out any time he/she wishes it.

Now, online site Nintencast found a box art for the Wii version of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (also on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS) that sports Nintendo's WiFi logo at the box's top left corner. Imagine the above mentioned gameplay scheme being used online - that, my friends, is going to be a blast.

But the thing is, Nintencast failed to clarify the validity of the box art. The said site just said that the box in question "seems" to be the one for Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Wii. No sources were named either. We checked LucasArts' and Travellers Tales' online site for the game and found nothing as well.

As much as this is an interesting development, we would to hear more concrete things from the developers themselves. All versions of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga will be released on November 7.

DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi - Image 1

What you're looking at right there is the box art for the upcoming game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the Nintendo Wii. As you can see, the Z soldiers are all there along with other characters that fans of the anime and manga are all too familiar with.

DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi is the third of the series which has gained international popularity by giving gamers the brand of frenetic fighting that the series is famous for. All the characters from the previous titles are coming back along with some new ones like King Vegeta and King Cold.

Some new nuances are also included to spice up the gameplay. One of them is the Blast Combo tactic where you can launch opponents to the air with a power blow and follow through by teleporting behind the poor fellow and hitting him or her with an energy attack. A lot more is left to be discovered and we'll update you as soon as new information is at hand.

And a new website dedicated to the game is now fully open for you to browse through. Check it out through the read link below.

Pokemon Battle Revolution pack shot - Image 1We will all be soon choosing Pikachu once more as we get closer to the release date of video game Pokemon Battle Revolution. Basically, you've almost seen and heard everything about this title: from its amazingly unique features, various screenshots, and even a number of gameplay videos.

Yup, many of you have seen everything save for one: what the game's box art looks like. Just one glance at the packshot will remind fans about DS games Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl - a constant reminder that the this Wii title can be controlled using Nintendo's handheld console.

Aside from just controlling Pokemon Battle Revolution with the DS, players also have the option to import their characters from the above-mentioned DS titles. Seeing how Pearl and Diamond are doing well, we have to say that this is a well-thought-out strategy for Nintendo.

Pokemon Battle Revolution will be released this coming June 25, 2007.

Mario Strikers Charged website opens - Image 1It came to our attention that Nintendo just opened a website dedicated to video game title Mario Strikers Charged. It's more of a teaser site as the only items functional there is a video trailer as well as the box art of the game.

In case you're interested, the Read link below should take you directly there. Anyway, we're really excited about this soccer video game most especially about its online component. As you all know, this is one of the first few Wii games that support Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

And the feature that allows international connectivity is just as massive. Aside from that, we're pretty sure that the rather big lineup of characters excites you as well. Mario, of course, will be there. Bowser and even Bowser Jr. will make appearances as captains, and sidekicks include Koopa Troopa, Toad, and Dry Bone among others.

Mario Strikers Charged will be available this coming May 25.

Big Brain Academy: The Boxart! - Image 1

Whenever a new game comes out, someone's bound to take a look at every aspect of it. Of course, with the slew of intriguing games coming out for the Nintendo Wii, we didn't expect someone to take the time to look at the box art and analyze it. At least, that's what Play Nintendo's Husain did with the Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree box art.

Touch Generations - Image 1 First off, if you check the upper left corner of the box, you'll notice that the game has a Touch Generations symbol, much like the game's DS counterpart. What Husain notes as a big difference is that this Touch Generations symbol uses the Wiimote rather than the stylus. As you can probably guess, expect to do a lot of fiddling around with the answers to the game's questions using the Wiimote.

Big Brain Academy Online Play - Image 1 One thing that Nintendo fails to mention with their press releases is that Pokemon: Battle Revolution isn't the first game to come out with some semblance of online play. As the analysis manages to mention, Big Brain Academy happens to be the second game which uses Online Play.

As you can see in the picture on the right, the warning gives it away. Of course, the online functions aren't as robust as it would be in the Pokemon game (you trade training data wirelessly), but they do note that it's a misnomer to assume that Pokemon is the beginning of Wii's Online Play use. Funny how a little thing such as box art reveals so much, doesn't it?

Blazing Angels Wii version - Image 1This article is about flight action title Blazing Angels (Wii, 360, PS3) and it's a tricky one. Ubisoft updated its official website and added the following information about the game's Wii version:

Multiplayer for up to 16 players online (with one new PS3/Wii mode) Engage in head-to-head dogfights or cooperative team play between squadrons on huge maps with large formations.

And then, the box art image you see on the right was posted by gaming site IGN. Now, if you look closely, you will see on the upper left side a Wi-Fi logo. Look anywhere else and we're telling you, this is the only pack shot we've seen that has this logo. Even Ubisoft's pack shot doesn't have one.

So what's the real deal? We really have no idea for now. Bit if you want to make this more interesting, GameSpot has the following additional information:
  • Offline Modes: Team Oriented
  • Online Modes: Competitive
  • Number of Players: 1-2
  • Number of Online Players: 16 Online
Reggie Fils-Aime mentioned back in December of 2006 that "There will be titles that we'll be announcing in first quarter 2007, that'll be multiplayer-enabled." So could Blazing Angels be it? The author of the Go Nintendo article doesn't think so (it was the Go Nintendo article that first alerted us of this bit of news).

We will tell you as soon as we get the official word from Ubisoft. The game will be released on March 30.

Aussie Nintendo gives us a first peek on the box art of Data Design Interactive titles coming up this year. You will remember that we already told you about these upcoming titles. To tell the truth, a lot of Wii fans think that these Data Design Interactive titles for the Wii are quite childish; what would you think when you hear "Ninjabread Man"? But we can't wait to grab a hold of these games. They sure sound fun!

Six of the titles; Billy the Wizard, Myth Makers Super Kart GP, Anubis II, Ninjabread Man, Monster Trux, and Extreme Elviz: Rock N Roll Adventures will be released in the second half of 2007. The other six, Trixie In Toyland, Hamster Heroes, Action Girlz Racing, Mini Desktop Racing, Myth Makers - Orbs Of Doom, and London Taxi Rushour is the follow-up batch, to be released later on. As they are, these box art look good already, but if you really can't wait to get more about them titles, just click on the source link to get the dibs on screens and available information of these games. Tell us what you think on them, too; you may put your comments below.
