Here are some new screenshots for upcoming video game Ben 10: Protector of Earth courtesy of gaming site IGN. The title is being developed by High Voltage Software and will be released in North America some time during the fourth quarter of this year. It will be marketed by D3Publisher.

Anyway, the title sounds familiar because it is actually a port of the animated series Ben 10 from Cartoon Network. It follows the story of Ben Tennyson and his involvement with the device Omnitrix that allows him to change into different alien forms. These include the likes of Fourarms, Heatblast, Cannonbolt, XLR8, and Wildvine.

If your character is sporting an alien body, it is only fair that your enemies should be aliens as well. High Voltage still hasn't released any information on this but initial reports say that Ben 10 will be facing off with Vilgax, Kevin 11, Hex, and the Forever Knights.

As always, updates as we get them and in the mean while, just enjoy the screenshots below!

A few updates ago, we reported that the classic space shooter, Galaga '90, has recently been made available for purchase on the Wii Shop channel for Virtual Console play. Now we give you a reason to purchase this very awesome retro hit for your VC library by showing you the cute Galactic Dancing routine the aliens do in a gameplay video update.

Judging from the video, it's clear that the elements that made Galaga '90 so darn addictive are still there: the catchy music, the colorful graphics, the ability to make high-scoring chains when you shoot down the aliens as they swoop in. And yes, they still explode into funky fireworks when you manage to score a hit.

This could also be the first case where we lament on the player being a bit too good - as there wasn't much of the aliens left when Galactic Dancing kicked in. Oh, well. Enjoy the video!

Galaga '90 - Image 1 Galaga '90 - Image 2

For those of us who can fondly remember blasting hordes of slowly-advancing aliens who make it a point to march side to side for the fun of it, here's a blast to the not-so-early past courtesy of the good folks of Hudson: the U.S. release of the space-shooter Galaga '90, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console this August 6. Sweet!

So what's new with the second coming of the insanely-popular shooter? Besides still featuring the intense alien-blasting action that made it a hit during its time, the Virtual Console version of the game will also include Dimensions - pretty much alternate versions of stages you've already encountered, or about to.

To access these dimensions, you'll need to nab a particular item in mid-round called Blue Capsules. Collect enough of these beauties, and you get access to the harder, later dimensions.

Other nifty features they kept intact in the game is the ability for your fighter to become a Triple Fighter, the ability of the Galaga Boss to make a prisoner out of your ship, and the cute Galactic Dancing routine that the Galaga perform every so often.

Certainly a very welcome addition to any Nintendo Wii owner's VC library - and at only 600 Wii Points, it's literally a steal. So if you're hankering for some retro love that's Galaga-flavored, be sure to snap it up as soon as it gets available.
