GTTV's Geoff Keighley has revealed via Twitter that Tron Legacy won't be the only game premiering at this year's Spike Video Game Awards. Apparently a new Star Wars game will be announced during the event as well.

This one goes out to queenanthai following us on Twitter. It was last month when he/she asked if Cable was in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS3, PSP, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS), and this bit of news will pretty much speak for itself. If that's not enough, there's a video that comes with it too. That's right - the hardcore time-traveler has come from the future to join in the action in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

Somebody's obviously excited! No less than Charles Martinet, the famed voice behind Mario the plumber, has taken to his Twitter to tweet about "a new Mario game". And no, he's apparently not referring to the New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Courtney Love's Twitter tirade against Activision, Guitar Hero 5, Dave Grohl (oh she hates Dave alright), and whoever else has pissed her off seems to have died down a bit. In the interim, Activision has sent out a statement saying that contrary to her recent claims, Love did indeed give them permission to use Kurt Cobain as a playable avatar in Guitar Hero 5 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii).

I can't honestly say for certain if the inclusion of his likeness in Guitar Hero 5 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) caused Kurt Cobain to turn over in his grave. One thing's sure though: Courtney Love is pissed to high hell because of it.

Uh-oh! I hope our friends from Left4Friends didn't catch this. PAX sources are now reporting that they do have a confirmed case of the H1N1 virus (commonly but misleadingly known as Swine Flu) from their recently-concluded Washington event.

Geoff Keighley's made an announcement via his Twitter account regarding an all-new game from LucasArts. Unfortunately, that's all that it was: an announcement to an announcement.

We had E3, then GamesCom, then PAX is coming up next, and then right after that, we have Tokyo Game Show! It's events season alright, and every time we can't wait to see what the pubs and devs are bringing along with them to show off to us. Capcom's got their list down pat already, so it seems. Via their Unity twitter, they've announced that they have "several" new game announcements in store. It sure is nice to see that they're always kept busy for our entertainment.

We've seen a lot of announcements and teasers being released via Twitter this year. Here's another one from LucasArts. Recent entries in the LucasArts Twitter account are teasing "awesome news" for their old school fans early on Monday.

Whenever we get news from Twitter, we usually get mere hints, rumors, and minor teases. But in his Twitter page, Mortal Kombat's Ed Boon was quite direct when it came to the violence they're gonna be packing into Mortal Kombat 9. For the MK fans out there - here's an encouraging bit of news: there will be blood and lots of it.
