After all the controversies that Tecmo was involved in the past couple of months, it looks like things are starting to settle now with the company. They have gotten past over the Square Enix "friendly take-over" offer, and now they are moving things a step further with Koei by drawing up management integration talks -- and a deadline.

While we may no longer see an epic fantasy RPG starring our favorite Dead or Alive babes, Square Enix still had some unresolved issues with Tecmo, after failing its attempt at negotiating a corporate merger. After having their friendly proposal spurned, Square Enix forwarded three questions regarding Tecmo's rejection. Read the answers to these questions after the jump.

Koei has announced that it will be announcing several new PSP titles at this year's upcoming Tokyo Games Show. Koei's president Kenji Matsubara also explains some of the challenges third-party devs experience in Japan, possibly suggesting why Tecmo chose to merge with them rather than Squeenix. A settlement's finally been reached between the disgruntled Team Ninja members and Tecmo. The lawsuit filed last July was on the issue of unpaid overtime work under flexible working hours. Details after the jump.

That was a quick resolution. Unlike other acquisition stories that we know of, Tecmo and Square Enix have already settled the score. Unfortunately for Squeenix, Tecmo hearts Koei more, and so takes the gentlemanly way out.

There's life after Itagaki. Tomonobu Itagaki">Team Ninja is still very much alive, even with Tomonobu Itagaki's departure. In fact, Tecmo's announced that they'll be bringing three new titles that are currently being worked on by Team Ninja to the TGS 2008 show floor! Will they be Ninja Gaiden or Dead or Alive titles, or new IPs? Who knows... TGS, here we come!

Ever since the first ever Mario game was released, Japan has been the center of the video gaming world. Heck, two of this gen's consoles are based in Japan. However, Ryan Payton, (former) Assistant Producer at Kojima productions, believes that times have changed, and Japan no longer seems to be the center of video game development.
