Someone's not meeting expectations, and it's Square Enix's Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers. The Wii title has sold only about 26,000 units on its first day on shelves, reports Japanese retail blog Sinobi. |

A lot of interesting bits popped into the Nintendo block this week -
from race-able Chocobos, re-imagined sountracks, to retrained cops. If
you want to stay up to speed with the new DSi LL, there's an update in
here featuring the new upsized portable. There's a lot more where those
came from, so let's get clickin'. |

Everyone loves Chocobos. Really. Some may like Moogles more for the fluffy pompom on their head, but they still love Chocobos. Thankfully, Square Enix hasn't forgotten the sprinting bird and how fun it is to race them. Good news, Chocobo racing lives on in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Now we've got more reasons to keep an eye out for the Wiixclusive title. Video after the jump. |

After four years of staying on top, it's the first time for the Wii to
experience a sales decline. Satoru Iwata owns up to the issue, but
remains optimistic about Nintendo bouncing back into the game. Much of
that is apparent as early as now - Nintendo is steadily adding more
games into WiiWare and Virtual Console, grabbing more big Wiixclusives,
unleashing the Black Wii, and even introduces a new king-sized DSi.by Glenn M. |

More for Virtual Console. If Konami is going MSX for the next few months, Square Enix is gonna make you go gaga over SaGa, starting with Romancing SaGa. Other non-Square games are on their way as well, so check 'em out right here. |

Now this sure is different from the ones we usually see. Square Enix came up with this TV ad for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers an thought it would be cool if it had Bon Jovi's "We Weren't Born to Follow" in the background. Oddly enough, even with lyrics intersecting with the Japanese voices, it's actually pretty cool. |

For quite some time now, Square Enix has been releasing Final Fantasy after Final Fantasy into Virtual Console as if they were counting down to the first one. That countdown has ended now that the famed RPG publisher has released the very first Final Fantasy, giving gamers of this generation the chance to add FF-101 to their gaming creds. |

Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and yes, even Kingdom Hearts. Square Enix stands on the pillars of its great franchises, those three among them. If you love those three, then this might come as good news to you - Yoichi Wada wants to add two to three more franchises to that list. |
