Shigeru Miyamoto has wanted to incorporate the co-op play feature into
the Mario series for years now, but it's only now that that wish will
come to fruition in the New Super Mario Bros. Wii, all thanks to the Wii's "graphical capacity." |

Somebody get Princess Peach some sweatpants now, pronto! It's terribly
sad that the Mario's love interest won't be playable in the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii. simply because of her balloon dress. Oh, the injustice! |

Somebody's obviously excited! No less than Charles Martinet, the famed
voice behind Mario the plumber, has taken to his Twitter to tweet about
"a new Mario game". And no, he's apparently not referring to the New Super Mario Bros. Wii. |

Shigeru Miyamoto himself has said it - they'll be moving along with the
progress of technology and he wants to see games with better graphics.
Couple that with the rumor that a graphically-superior Nintendo DS is
on its way, then perhaps Nintendo has been busying itself with
preparing new hardware. For now, they're working on existing hardware,
turning white controllers black, and enlisting balance boards in the
fight against terrorism. |

IndustryGamers recently caught up with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto in NYC, where the gaming exec shared his thoughts on high definition gaming. While he said nothing that would point us to a Wii HD, we now have more reason to believe that Nintendo isn't gonna sit on its motion-control laurels and leave the graphics as they are. Miyamoto himself has confirmed - "Nintendo's games move along in step with the progression of technology." |

We all know how much of a classic that plumber all garbed in red
already is in videogaming history. But despite the many iterations
under the Super Mario franchise's belt, Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo
still remains firm that the best is just yet to come. The New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be the Mario that will sell for "many years". |

He did not say "No." Let's be clear on that one. In an interview with
Nintendo Power, Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo was asked whether or not a
new Kid Icarus game will be coming to the Wii or the DS. His answer: after the jump. |

When I hear the words "demo play", the first thing I think about are those old demos that used to kick in when you left a game in the "Press Start" screen for too long. Nintendo is taking the demo play idea to a whole new level, however. In an interview with USA Today, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that they're adding an optional feature -- called "demo play" -- that will make the Wii even more accessible by making games play themselves. |
