Another classic from console generations past will once again get a breath of life in the new hardware. Gameloft is now hard at work in bringing Earthworm Jim out of the ground and back in the surface, freshened up big time with an HD overhaul. Earthworm Jim is getting ready for another adventure with Princess What's-Her-Name thanks to a deal between Gameloft and Interplay that has cleared the way for the former to develop, distribute, and publish an Earthworm Jim game for PSN, Xbox Live, WiiWare, and mobile platforms.

Genesis Plus is Eke-Eke's emulator project of the Sega Genesis/ Sega Megadrive for the Nintendo Wii. This, in particular, is a port of Charles MacDonald's Genesis Plus to the Wii hosting a lot of improvements.Changelog for this version includes improved sound engine.

Wiibrew developer eke-eke has rolled out another batch updates to four of his emulators: GnuboyGX (Gameboy and Gameboy Color emulator), GenPlusGX (Sega Genesis and Megadrive), SMSPlusGX (Sega Master System and Game Gear), and HugoGX (err... Hugo).

A new build is out for the Wii's Genesis Plus Project (otherwise known as GenPlus). In case you're not familiar with the program, GenPlus is a Sega Genesis Emulator for the Nintendo Wii and GameCube. This latest version has several new updates, with a large emphasis on added controller support (it now supports up to 8 players!). Developer Eke-Eke has recently released build 30-05-2008 of the Genesis Plus Project for the Nintendo Wii console. This release has several bug fixes along with some handy new functions for the Wii. The changelog is available in the full article.

Splatterhouse 2 fans have something to celebrate - well, at least for as long as they're in Australia. The Australian Classification Board, OFLC, has now released their classification for the said title, which is on its way to the Wii's Virtual Console for the region.
