Tokyo Game Show - Image 1With GamesCom out of the way, there's still another big gaming event on the calendar: the Tokyo Game Show. For this year's TGS, Sega will be showing off a pretty balanced lineup that includes handheld sequel Valkyria Chronicles 2, the PS3 and Xbox 360 RPG End of Eternity, and PS3 exclusive Yakuza 4.

MadWorld - Image 1Forget the March 31 date mentioned in the last MadWorld update. Sega and Platinum Games will be bringing the ultra-violent game to North America three weeks earlier than that.

MadWorldAnd some say the Wii isn't hardcore. The entire game may be set in a black-and-white (and red) world, but MadWorld still manages to be colorful with all the blood and guts you can chuck at a masochistic prude. It reminds me a lot of how Wild9 works - find as many ways you can to kill, maim, and torture your enemies. Feels just like Christmas, ya? Greeting everyone a merry Christmas is MadWorld protagonist Jack - yeah, just Jack. This trailer's even got Mr. Movie Trailer doing voice-overs.

Platinum Games - Image 1Back in January, we reported that Shinji Mikami, of Dino Crisis and Resident Evil fame, will start work on the first title of the team Platinum Games (formerly SEEDS). Now how far along are they? Rumor has it that they have signed with Sega to release three new games, one of which will involve Devil May Cry 4 creator Hideki Kamiya. More details after the jump.
