The original Lufia for SNES - Image 1Famitsu.com has broken the news on a new entry in Taito's Estpolis series. If the name doesn't ring a bell, the series was released outside Japan as "Lufia". The new game will be called Estpolis: The Land Cursed by the Gods and will be produced by the original game's development staff. Square Enix will be handling publishing duties.

Yaroze - Image 1After 12 years, Sony is about to pull the plug on its Yaroze program, which made console development available to aspiring non-professionals. Through this service, subscribers received access to an online community, development software, as well as a very rare black PlayStation One console that allowed devs to run their own code on the system.

Nintendo Weekend Warrior - Image 1After taking five for quite some time now, The Weekend Warrior just took his Conan the Barbarian-like sword and took it to the nearest smithy. This time, the DS and Wii Weekend Warriors have joined forces into the new Nintendo Weekend Warrior, bringing you all the big news from an Italian plumber's pipeline.

Ayame - Image 1New video for Tenchu 4: Shadow Assassins (Wii, PSP) coming right up. It dates all the way back to the PSOne days when I really played Tenchu since I found the ones of late to be a little...not-up-to-par. Anyway, Ayame's here again and she shows us a few of her moves. The usual lethal blows and stabs are there, but she's got upside down grabs and heavy nut-kicks too!

Wii homebrew - Image 1I remember so many times when I burned hours away playing Minesweeper on Windows. For a visually lackluster game where all you do is guess and click, it sure packs some suspense, or am I just too easy to please? Anyway, get the latest update for the Minesweeper Wiibrew here.

WiiSX - Image 1I'm glad to see this project is still alive. WiiSX, the PSOne emulator for the Wii, has been given an update. The emulator is still "far from stable," but the project is moving along with new features, upgrades, and the addition of various support systems. Details after the link.

Soul Reaver - Image 1Kain and Raziel of Legacy of Kain fame haven't shown themselves since Defiance on the PS2, Xbox, and PC. We were supposed to get another sequel, but for some reason it was canceled. The only thing to show for it: some concept artwork and renders from an artist's online portfolio.

Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon - Image 1Yes, yes, I know what you're thinking: "Ohnoes, not another Spyro game..." The first three games on the PSOne were cool but after a while, Vivendi made a mess of things. Meanwhile, the Legend of the Dragon trilogy's a bit of a mixed bag so far... So maybe this third and final installment will make up for all that. Dawn of the Dragon was released last week, just in case you need reminding. But more so, maybe you still need more convincing? Here's a video with the cast of voice actors: Frodo Baggins, that other Goth Chick, and some other familiar faces.

WiiSX - PSOne emulated on Nintendo Wii - Image 1The wonder team of Wii homebrew developers who brought us the Wii64 is now shooting for the stars in their next project: WiiSX. They've successfully emulated the PSOne platform on the Nintendo Wii. In fact, we've got a demo video in the full article showing a work-in-progress version of the emulator (complete with demo-cameo of Chrono Cross!)
