Nintendo may not have the most technologically powerful home console in this generation, but they are definitely top dog when it comes to sales. In North America, the company has not one, not two, but three games in the decade's top five best selling games list, including the one at the top spot.

Electronic Arts is most certainly proud to announce today the record-breaking launch of the latest iteration in the FIFA videogame franchise, FIFA 10 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2 and PC). In its first week alone, said title has earned over 1.7 million copies throughout European retail.

A bit of good new and bad news. Europe's not getting left out of the Wii price cuts Nintendo announced for North America and Japan. The bad news is it doesn't include the UK. Don't blame Nintendo, though.

And so they finally spilled. Nintendo has finally confirmed the much talked about price cut for their Nintendo Wii console, and it's happening indeed on September 27. Beginning that day forth, the US$ 249 console will be marked down to -- you guessed it -- US$ 199.

Just like the way it is when it comes to anime, some gamers just prefer to hear the original Japanese voices in their localized games. If you count yourself as a member of this bunch, be glad. It seems Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon will ship with its Japanese audio track intact.

Nintendo's still not giving in to the lures of a price drop, and really, why should they? They have the two bestselling consoles in this generation, both home and handheld. Nintendo's set the date for the release of Wii Fit Plus, the expansion of their 2008 phenomenon, Wii Fit. This new version of the exercise-game is coming out on October for North America. More details after the jump.

Get ready because the Spore universe is set to invade your world sooner than thought! Maxis has announced that Spore Hero for the Wii and Spore Hero Arena for the DS are both launching to Earth this October.
