Welcome to our first ever edition of the Wii Weekend Warrior, where we talk about the latest news and updates for Nintendo's motion-sensing brainchild. The Wii scene's rumbling as E3 nears, and it looks like Wii gamers will have their hands full for the rest of the year! It's been pretty quiet on the Wii front lately, and no wonder after a slew of blockbuster after blockbuster, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and Wii Fit. But it seems Nintendo will break the quiet for another great season of games.

We know this one's some days late, but we couldn't forget to let danmaku shooter fans in on the news: there's a new homebrew game coming for their homebrew capable Wiis. Author SquidMan programmed an early version of a Touhou for Nintendo's next generation console which ties directly to the Wii remote, but as because Touhou Fangame Beta 1 is still in early beta, don't expect it to run smoothly on its maiden launch. After Mario Strikers Charged comes Mario Super Sluggers, a souped-up Mario themed baseball game for the Wii. Not much is known about the game until the release of this trailer, but the game already looks sweet as it is, and the trailer in the full article shows why.
