A five-song AFI track pack is coming to Rock Band 's in-game music store next week along with one from '80s all-female band The Bangles. Handheld rockers are also getting two new tracks; one each from Dead Kennedys and Sleater-Kinney.

Time to take that walk in the historic Abbey Road as MTV Games, Harmonix and Apple Corps, Ltd. announced today the launch of Abbey Road (1969) as the first of the Beatles' album to be released as downloadable content. The DLC will be landing in The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii)Music Store on October 20 for the Xbox 360 and Wii, and October 22 for the PS3.

The Gorillaz will be headlining next week's Rock Band update with three songs being made available as DLC for the game's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The Wii version is also getting its own update in the form of eleven tracks taken from the Rock Band back catalog, while Rock Band Unplugged will play host to a pair of new Iron Maiden songs.

The online retailer has just opened up a new gimmick, selling online game codes for the Xbox Live. You might be going, "Huh? Why bother?" But on closer inspection, this might not be a bad idea after all. Details after the link.

Tattoo-clad drumming icon Travis Barker is alive and kicking, and he's kicking a few songs into Guitar Hero World Tour (360, PS3, Wii) for January. Jimi Hendrix and The Raconteurs will be appearing in Guitar Hero: World Tour (Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii). They will be bringing three songs each and Jimi's gonna be a playable character. All I can say is: it's about time.
