Iron Man 2 - Image 1 Sega has released some new information about Iron Man 2, the new Iron Man game being developed as a tie-in for the next Iron Man movie. It's a tie-in, but it won't follow the movie too closely. Instead, writer Matt Fraction will be taking a middle ground approach by drawing from both the movie and comic book universes, both of which he has been involved with. More after the jump.

Marvel and EA part ways on Marvel fighting game franchise - Image 1Even though Electronic Arts and Marvel Comics announced that they have plans of making a new fighting game franchise that would follow Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects, it seems that we won't be seeing these plans into a reality. the EBGames pack - Image 1About a couple of days ago, we reported about EBGames' bonus for the Spider-man 3 pre-order. Along with it was some information about the game. The features mentioned in the Wii version included an addition of two Marvel villains, Morbius and Shriek.

Just to remind some peeps who might have forgotten them, Morbius is a vampire (though not like Blade kind of vamp, Morbius' vampire powers were of biochemical origin). Shriek, on the other hand, is a banshee like character with powers to manipulate sound.

Anyway, some people assumed that the info EBGames had came directly from Activision, the game's publisher. CVG clarified it and was informed by Activision that they haven't released any info regarding Spidey's third. The publisher offered an explanation: EBGames was using the rumor mill to sweeten the deal.

Oh and the info/game features was taken down from EBGames' site. It looks like we all have to wait for something stamped with the Activision logo and marked official.

What happens when you go behind the scenes to find out more about a superhero's life? If said superhero was still working for the government (*ehemCaptainAmericaehem*), you'd probably die from some well-orchestrated hunting accident. It's a good thing we've got all these heroes under the employ of a giant commercial enterprise now, because you can be sure they won't have anything to hide from us.

So, what's in store for this new video of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance? You get to see a lot of fun gameplay portions, but you also get to hear from the developers about what it took to make the game and who their favorite characters are. Even more exciting is their discussion of some of the characters who aren't as well known in Marvel's universe, as well as some folks you've always wanted to see in a game, such as Deadpool, Blade, Ghost Rider, and the Black Panther. You'll also get a sneak peak at some of the alternate costumes of these guys, though Ghost Rider looked like he was wearing a pink robe in one of them.

Needless to say, if you love comics and action games, then Raven Software and Activision have made something every fanboy can be happy with, whether it be PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii. As for me, I intend to get a copy and play my dream team: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Colossus and Ghost Rider. How about you?

The Thing!

He's got some cool boots, that's for sure! As we get closer to the release of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Activision is spearheading their promotions with some of the most famous characters in the Marvel Universe. In this case, there's only one perfect time to preview the brawling mass of half-naked, butt-smashing rock, and that's clobbering time!

For this quick preview trailer, The Thing battles other things, like burning things, and humanoid cat things, and aliens-stuck-in-web-things. Of course, he gets to show them all who's the King of all Things! Funny how his pants never get ripped or burned, and you never see sticky webbing on his boots. That just goes to show you how great he is!

Have fun watching, and expect to hear more about this brawler for the PSP, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii in the coming weeks.

marvel:ultimate allianceActivision Associate Producer Chris Palmisano spoke with Game Trailers about their upcoming epic Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Talking at 60 words per sec, Chris was able to squeeze tons of info about how they came up with the idea for the game, info gameplay and more. Like, when Marvel Comics told them to go ahead and make a game about any hero in the Marvel Universe, Chris said they decided to cast 140 characters!

The object of the game is for players to form their own team of superheroes (and if 140 isn't wide a enough selection, you can make up your own characters) and save the Marvel Universe from Dr. Doom and friends. Chris also said the biggest challenge in creating a game with all those characters was making the costumes! Must be all that spandex.

Anyways, watch Chris Chris Palmisano who happens to be the ultimate info source for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
