Farter is back with a new update for his Wii port of GeeXboX. GeeXboX
is a media player application that can play all audio and video files
that MPlayer can. For this release, farter has added some updates for Linux and MPlayer

been released, and man, this one is definitely a good update. Thanks to
the numerous speed improvements added in this release, some games are

It's similar to grub or lilo, but the final goal would be to be able to boot Wii-linux from any compatible device, and to boot different Linux kernel versions. A new Wii-Linux distro is out from developer Bert Jan. It's has the existing Debian/Whiite package as its foundation, but it has Xorg running on top of it. The distro is appropriately named xwhiite. Details after the link. |
