 Leipzig Game Convention 2009 Cancelled - Image 1 Now don't go thinking this is another one of those depressing economic news - it's not. It's just your average depressing video game convention news, like E3. A press release just went out announcing that this year's Leipzig Games Convention has been canceled, but they will be holding a new event in its place called Games Convention Online.

TGS 2008 - Image 1So. What does the final TGS attendance tally read? Why... it's over nine thousaaaand!!! Oh, hell yeah, it's way over nine thousand indeed. CESA, the guys who organized the event, released the final number of attendees for this year's Tokyo Game Show. Compared to last year, TGS 2008 has gotten about a thousand more attendees, thus setting a new record for highest turnout in TGS history.

Capcom - PS3 has finally reached full swing - Image 1Although Sony's contender in this generation of consoles had a rocky start, the PlayStation 3 has been picking up some traction lately. GC 2008 success; GC 2009 dated - Image 1This year's Games Convention at Leipzig was a sure fire success. And though some of you might not think that the same could be said about E3, GC 2009 has already been scheduled. Via press release, we find out that this year's event has set records above and beyond what GC 2007 had, and reception from the masses has definitely shown a good sign that the video games industry is booming more than it used to.

Guitar Hero: World Tour - Mii Freestyle - Image 1Apparently, getting to play as Ozzy Osbourne in Guitar Hero: World Tour wasn't cool enough for Activision.
