A date's been set for Konami's Silent Hill 2 videogame movie sequel. A target date at least. Meeting the deadline is obviously going to be dependent on when the script is done, what with screenwriter Roger Avary sentenced to jail.

We've got a bunch of mystery games for you this Halloween week, as well as another one from the blood-curdling line of Ubisoft's Imagine titles, this time with Imagine Babyz Fashion. Headlining the line-up though would be Jak & Dexter for the PSP, the multi-platformer Lego Rock Band, and the new Need for Speed offering for handhelds, NFS: Nitro. Oh, and Band Hero featuring Taylor Swift is also here. Hopefully there'll be no Kanye to interrupt your game this time. Check out the full list in the full article.

After four years of staying on top, it's the first time for the Wii to experience a sales decline. Satoru Iwata owns up to the issue, but remains optimistic about Nintendo bouncing back into the game. Much of that is apparent as early as now - Nintendo is steadily adding more games into WiiWare and Virtual Console, grabbing more big Wiixclusives, unleashing the Black Wii, and even introduces a new king-sized DSi.

Konami has been around for a very long time. Long before 3D and complex gameplay, the publisher busied itself as a prominent MSX developer. Before the Solid, Metal Gear made its home on the format, right alongside classics such as Contra and Parodius. For another round of retro, Konami's adding 13 MSX games into Virtual Console.

Nothing official has issued forth from the mouths of Konami representatives yet, but the Silent Hill overhaul, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PS2, PSP, Wii), may be facing a bit of a delay. Kotaku reports that listings from online retailers GameFly and GameStop now have the game's release pegged at about a month later than the date it was originally slated for.

We're just about a week away from this year's Tokyo Game Show. We've seen the lineups for quite a few big-name videogame companies by now, and here's another one to add to the mix.

Contra Rebirth will not be the only title getting a fresh new gaming stint via WiiWare. According to this ESRB listing spotted by GamerBytes, the GameBoy installment of the Castlevania franchise will also be Rebirth-ed as Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth.

Pressure's on to get the Wii price cut back into competing form with the now top-selling PS3. Will Iwata-san and the rest of the Nintendo bigwigs give in?
