Suikoden - Image 1Siliconera reports that Konami has recently filed a trademark for "Genso Suikoden" in the US. Yeah, it's for the Japanese series name, which kinda dilutes the possibility of an actual new game in the long-running RPG series. Still, the chance for another game is there.

Tornado Outbreak - Image 1Just as promised, Konami's teaser website for Kojima Productions' next project has opened its gates with blustery winds and flying cows (umm right, is Helen Hunt in the house?).

So what game is it? Gives a bit of a Heavy Rain vibe, but maybe that's just me. Some are already linking this to that "Tornado Outbreak" listing found a couple days ago, but only time will tell.

On Shelves This Week - Image 1Nothing major is really happening console-side this week. The console versions of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel are finally seeing a release after a few delays and the subsequent bankruptcy of game developer Ascaron. Wii owners, meanwhile, get Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus and Help Wanted. On the handheld side of things, the Sony PSP gets no love at all. The DS gets some, at least, but it's aimed mostly towards the 12 and under set. Strategy gamers on a budget should check out the PC releases, though. There are a couple of good games in there.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories - Image 1IGN's calling it: Silent Hill: Shattered  Memories "is shaping up to be one of the best games we've seen on Nintendo's console, period." That's a lot of fighting words right there. And maybe they've got the basis to say that. Check out the newly-revealed gameplay information and screenshots and you be the judge for yourself.

Silent Hill - Image 1This would be according to the magazine Nintendo Power, complete with front page cover and all. According to the issue, Tomm Hullet, Associate Producer for Konami, describes Shattered Memories as "a reimagining of the first Silent Hill. It's not a remake or a port. That's an important distinction. It really feels like a new game."
