Koei's definitely out to impress as they showcase the first trailer for Samurai Warriors 3, straight from the ongoing TGS 2009. The Sengoku era generals are back for the Wii, and they continue to bring the badass in action.

We're getting closer to the last ten QuickPeeks before we hit our first 100th issue! But before that, there's so much more to look back at in just this past week alone. The individual Warriors are all fired up, each of them having their fair share of controversies to address. From broken firmwares to debunked rumors of firmwares, broken street dates, and broken company reputations, we have them all right here, so just jump right in and dig in.

Just like almost every major Japanese game development and publishing company, Koei Tecmo has launched their own special Tokyo Game Show 09 website. Included in the site is a list of the games they will be showing off at the event. Hit the jump for the full list.

After the Ninja Gaiden dojo, Tecmo, and Dynasty Warrior factory, Koei, completed their merger last April, the newly-formed Koei Tecmo Holdings is now hard at work on a crossover title, combining IPs from both publishers to launch a new one. Time to review those Koei and Tecmo titles so we can all play guessing games as to which IPs will be making it to the new Koei Tecmo title.

I'm personally baffled and not all too keen about Koei Tecmo's proposition of  incentivizing their staff to expand their families. Maybe they do need the population in their headquarters' town. But what I am sure of is that the news and updates here at QJ are expanding and on their own, beyond the shadows of E3.The (post) event updates have considerably slowed down, but in its place are new items and updates to buzz about, like a new custom firmware, executives' gripes about leakages in the industry, and pushing forth the race of this generation from mere hardware to motion control. It's all right here, so dig in.

The global population may be ballooning like mad, but Koei Tecmo seems to think that there aren't enough Dynasty Babies to form a strikeforce. If China has the One-Child policy to discourage procreation, Koei Tecmo does the exact opposite, providing monetary incentives for their employees to have more babies.

Just out of the presswire, it looks like Namco Bandai won't be the only publisher with a four-game booth. At least, that's what the announcements have been telling us so far. But what makes this E3 special for Koei is that it'll be the first time for them to publicly debut new titles outside Japan. What those are, you'll find out after the jump.

The time of controversy and lawsuits have passed. Team Ninja has moved on and so have Tomonobu Itagaki and his crew of ex-Team Ninja members. Teaming up with young but skilled engineers, the new team is now hard at work on a new game. Speaking with James Mielke of 1UP, Itagaki and his right-hand men spill a few droplets of detail (and scotch) to give us an idea of what they're up to.

Swine flu strikes again. The threat posed by the H1N1 virus has resulted in Square Enix and Koei cutting the number of their staff attending this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Details in the full article.

The London Movie Comic Media Expo isn't known for its gaming section, with much of its attendees preferring other forms of entertainment. But all that's gonna change this year, or improve at the very least, because apart from the support of some of today's A-list publishers, the London MCM Expo is attempting to set the World Record for "largest number of people in costume for a video game."
