This week sure has been a quite one for Ninty. Early prepping for TGS maybe? At any rate, there are still a few tidbits to be read in this week's recap, the biggest being Shia LeBeouf's anti-Wii comments that may have lost him a few fans and earned him a lot of flames. Getting stronger with The Force, the Wii is. Bensussen Deutsch & Associates has announced that they're manufacturing licensed Lightsaber accessories to give you the extra Jedi Knight feel when playing Star Wars games on your Wii. Also available are Clone Trooper blasters, in case you want to play the generic flunky.

It seems Factor 5's financial problems has led to even more trouble after the developer shut down last month. Former Factor 5 employees are now suing the Lair developer for fraudulent behavior in order to get out of paying their debts, Gamasutra reports.

You know he's evil because he has creepy, yellow eyes that stare at you from beneath a dark hood. That just screams Palpatine. But wait, that's not Palpatine, it's... Obi-Wan Kenobi? Looks like Free Radical was planning to put a twist on an old story (and an old Jedi) for Star Wars: Battlefront 3. Too bad they got axed before we could see more.

They are rumors no longer: LucasArts has officially announced their lightsaber game for the Wii, and it's Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the video game adaptation of the CGI movie that's to be released this year. Check out new details about both the Wii and DS versions in the full article.

The Force is not strong at E3 this year, as LucasArts has decided not to announce any new games during the event because of "too much noise" surrounding it. Hopefully this doesn't mean that we won't hear any news on the upcoming Star Wars games. More in the full article.

A new video for the Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (also available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, DS) has just been released and it shows off the controls of the game. If you think the idea of being able to control a character's lightsaber using the Wiimote is cool, you'll probably go nuts once you actually see it in action. You guys may have already known this, but for those who missed it: the father of Luke Skywalker has been confirmed to be a playable character in the Lucas Arts' upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (that would be Darth Vader, for those of you who haven't made out the connection yet). Cutting up people with a sword on your Nintendo Wii may be fun, but doing the same thing with a lightsaber is tons better. Unfortunately, it may be a while before we may be able to do it, as Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga developer Jonathan Smith from TTGames says that making a 1:1 lightsaber game for the Nintendo Wii is not as easy at it sounds, it will take some time before someone comes up with a way to accurately translate a Wiimote's movements into the graceful and deadly art of lightsaber combat.
