Jade Raymond - Image 1Ubisoft has revealed their plans for the E3 Expo. Sure, they'll have their own booth on the show floor, but their press conference will be held on June 1 in an invitation-only set up at the Los Angeles Theater. They'll be bringing Assassin's Creed 2, Red Steel 2, Rabbids Go Home, a couple new games, and special guests during the event "to thrill attendees and web viewers."

Umm, Jade Raymond, anyone?

Natasha Bedingfield - Boogie SuperStar - Nintendo Wii - Image 1You've got Nicole Kidman endorsing Brain Age, the two American Idol Davids dancing in their underwear for Guitar Hero TV spots, and then there's... well, Jade Raymond promoting Assassin's Creed. OK, the last one technically doesn't fit in the category of celebrities endorsing video games, but now, here comes Natasha Bedingfield to lend her diva power to Boogie SuperStar. Plus, EA's also revealed the full tracklist for the game. (which, unfortunately for some people, includes the Jonas Brothers... o_0)

QuickJump QuickPeek 41 - Image 1(Editor's Note: Happy April Fools'! You'd think we'd run skimpy with all the non-news items, but actually, this might be our biggest issue yet!)

Y'know how notorious the gaming community could get during this time of the year. But in between rumors and Metal Creed Solid gags, this here QuickPeek 41 is one heck of a colossus. Dark AleX is back, Jade Raymond makes a cameo, and Niko Bellic's got quite a lot of action cut out for him in GTA 4. Mind the Whoopie cushions! Wohoo!

The Ubisoft logo - Image 1When you've got some important projects coming up, its important to aim high and go for broke. In Ubisoft's case, the company has raised its fiscal 2007-2008 guidance. The reason: a strong performance on the part of its games. That's the news in general. if you want more monetary details, though, turn to the full article after the jump.

Jade Raymond - Image 1

We all know that the Nintendo Wii doesn't sport as much muscle under the hood as its bigger, tougher brothers, the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360. But Ubisoft Entertainment's own Jade Raymond, one of the minds behind the recently-released video game Assassin's Creed (Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, PC), thinks that the next-gen title can be made to come over to the Nintendo Wii - that is, after a few cosmetic changes here and there.

This bit of news comes from a recent interview with the producer, one that talks about Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed and what was it like being at the helm of it. The topic of course inevitably shifts to Assassin's Creed making the jump to other consoles, and it's when Shigeru's motion-sensing console of joy is brought up. Jade Raymond gave this response:

It would be possible, if we completely changed the gameplay, just like the DS-version. But it wouldn't be the same experience. Unfortunately, it hasn't got the same power as the PS3 and 360.

She also mentions that the development team would have considered the Nintendo Wii as another console to release the title on, had it been more powerful.

While it's certainly no confirmation that a Wii version is in the works, it certainly gives one hope. After all, they managed to get it on the Nintendo DS, didn't they? If they could squeeze the Assassin's Creed experience into a handheld, then there'd be no reason for them not to be able to make it for the Wii. Fingers crossed, in any case.

E3 2007 - Image 1

The hits just keep on coming with Day 2 of the legendary Mecca of videogames, E3, and this time it's Ubisoft strutting its stuff for all the videogaming world to see. We give you the facts and just the facts, directly from their exclusive E3 2007 Conference.

The little shindig of Ubisoft's started the crowd off with casual games - namely the MyCoach series, the Petz series, and the rather revolutionary guitar simulator on the DS, Jam Sessions. They then finished up with big three bombshells, all of which with the hardcore gamer demographic's name written on 'em. More about those three later, let's tackle the casuals first.

The full E3 update after the jump!
