QuickJump QuickPeek - Image 1It's quite an emotional rollercoaster, this week really was. Straight off from the news that the King of Pop has died, we went on to have the usual string of gaming news that rocked our own worlds. With the usual news on lawsuits, layoffs, company shutdowns, convicted murderers over consoles, it was looking to be a sad state of affairs. You know we all deserve it. Happy FOJ weekend, everyone!

Jerry Bruckheimer - Image 1Despite the lackluster appeal of movie adaptations of video games, super Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer remains positive that one day, they just might get it right. And it won't suck the living daylights out of us anymore.

On Shelves This Week: May 17 to May 23, 2009 - Image 1After last week's rather paltry offerings, we finally get a hefty bunch of new releases. The PSP gets the shaft again this week with no releases, followed by the PC which has only one actual playable new game out. OK, there are two PC titles in the list, but come on. Hannah Montana? Meanwhile, the DS gets more than the usual amount of good games. Really, there are only a couple of shovelware titles in there. Usually they make up like 60% of the DS list. The home console releases are also in top form. Read on for the rest of this week's software releases!

Vin Diesel - Image 1Vin Diesel has made a reputation of being one of Hollywood's sickest action stars, with tough, bad-ass roles in movies such as The Fast and The Furious, the upcoming Fast and Furious, and of course, The Chronicles of Riddick. But did you know that this hardcore superstar was once a D&D geek? My respect for the guy just shot through the roof.

DragonballGames and movies, will they ever be seen under the same light? For the new Dragonball: Evolution game for the PSP, at least, maybe not. Then again, that's a different matter altogether... Enter EA CEO John Riccitiello talking about video games as an art form - he thinks that within five years, the game industry may prove every one wrong, that games do have the potential to be considered just as impressive as movies and books.
