Dealing with all the wires with one console is bad enough, especially when you have other devices you attach to your TV set, but when you have more than one console, things can get crazy really fast if you're not careful. Here's an easy solution: use one component cable for all your consoles. XCM has released a new component cable that supports all platforms at once, including the PSP Slim. More details in the full article. |

Nintendo Wii owners, especially those who've got their systems hooked up to a home theater with surround sound, are not very happy after finding out that Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii) on Wii doesn't output sound in Dolby Pro Logic 2 unlike its other versions. For more details, check out the full article! |

Famed Japanese game music composer Akira Yamaoka of Konami's Silent Hill fame has announced that he is currently working on a new project. He has expanded his role to overall supervision and is now exercising a great deal of creative control on game design. He has also finished work on the anticipated thriller Silent Hill 5 for the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360, a game whose musical score he describes as Dolby-quality, but not quite revolutionary. See the full article for details on Yamaoka's new project at the full article. |

Resident Evil 4 for the Wii has been burning up the Intertubes lately, what with one game update after another. Today we have another bunch of cool images from the game courtesy of Game Watch. You can check 'em out below, but first, a short recap of what we know about the game so far. Ever since the rumor of it coming to the Wii was confirmed, we've managed to scrape together a few details about how this latest iteration in Capcom's popular horror survival franchise would be like for the Nintendo Wii video games console. Like all Wii games, Resident Evil 4 will utilize the Wiimote for some motion-sensing action. Attacks can be performed by shaking the Wiimote, and it can also be used to aim guns. Resident Evil 4 will also reportedly be sporting 16:9 widescreen resolution and Dolby Pro Logic II. There's still no word on 480p just yet, but we'll be sure to bring you guys any updates as soon as they surface. For now, enjoy the images. The rest of the images await after the jump! |

Among the other features that Capcom's Resident Evil 4 the Wii will bring to the Wii (aside from ripping through Los Ganados with the Wiimote rather than a chainsaw controller) are audio and visual. GameStop's product page for RE4 Wii specifically mentions "16:9 widescreen" and "Dolby Pro Logic II". This info is also mirrored in GameFront.de, so the info holds true, so far.Nope, nothing said about 480p, but who knows? Even if it isn't, them Plagas-plagued villagers look revolting enough even without going to progressive-scan. GameStop lists a June 25 shipping date for RE4 Wii, with a tag of US$ 30.00. So it's only a couple more months before you see more of Ashley Graham... and she slaps you for doing so. |
