Destineer announces Summer Sports: Paradise Island for Nintendo Wii - Image 1Destineer has just confirmed the rumors about an upcoming video game for the Nintendo Wii. The company just sent us a press release announcing Summer Sports: Paradise Island for March 2008.

Iron Chef, Summer Sports spotted (then removed) at Gamestop - Image 1According to a rumor we've picked up, publisher Destineer might be working on a Wii release of Iron Chef  - we can't imagine how this culinary title will work - and a game titled Summer Sports. Both are currently scheduled for a 2008 release, based on a GameStop post that was recently taken down. More details are in the full article.

Data Design, Destineer bring 10 casual Wii games to U.S. - Image 1UK-based video game development studio Data Design Interactive has just announced that it already found a partner publisher that will bring 10 of its casual Wii games to North America.

The company has been gearing for this for a while now, and even showcased some of them at the recent Games Convention in Leipzig. The chosen publisher is Bold Games, a subsidiary of the Minnesota-based company Destineer.

The latter is mostly known for its Halo: Combat Evolved release on Mac computers. The casual Wii games involved in this deal are as follows:
  • Myth Makers: Orbs of Doom
  • Kawasaki 4X4 Quad Bikes
  • Kawasaki Jet Ski
  • Big Rig Racer 2
  • London Taxi: Rush Hour
  • Monster Trucks: Offroad
  • Classic British Motor Racing
  • Kidz Sports International Football
  • Kidz Sports Basketball
  • Kidz Sports Ice Hockey
"Bold Games is thrilled to be working with Data Design Interactive as our entry into the Wii casual games market. The DDI titles cross all genres from sports to racing, bringing something for all type of gamers to the Wii system," commented Bold Games CEO Paul Rinde.
